I think I may have a very strange person on my hands.

It's a check scam. His English is fucked because he's posting from Lagos.
Charging $30 to install windows on multiple laptops is also seriously low-balling yourself, imo. Unless you meant $30 per machine, which is okay provided nothing else is broken or unique to a device.
convert the e-mails to communism
You realize you just sent him your home address? Change your locks and convert your house to a sentry box to prevent him breaking in and misarranging your Mork And Mindy DVDs and moving your peanuts slightly.
OP used scare tactics on the Nigerian scammer. Nigerian scammer is defeated.
a wild nigerian scammer appeared!
Just wash your hands and he will go away

Same here OP
Sounds like a scammer. But if he does indeed send the computers, you should charge more. Hell, geek squad charges 70 bucks to install stuff for you.
whoah just read the OP... sounds legit dude! ;D
The same exact thing happened to me on craigslist as well after I posted my resume.
Do whatever he says. He sounds legit and probably knows more about how craigslist works than you.
Well, it looks like he decided to back off. There's still been no attempt to hack my gmail, paypal, etc. And I'm sure even he knows you shouldn't make any arrangements with the post office a few days before labor day.
You don't mess with the facepunch baby.
Well if he's on your hands, ask him to get off.

Other than the fact it's and online community center billboard?

Very funny, cracked my automerge with what one and that's all.
Wait, wtf happened now?
Crush him like an ant.
Look if he does send me something I know to throw it in the farthest direction.
like your neighbor's house
What makes me wonder if why this didn't make you think of him as a scammer right away:
"After carefully reviewing your resume I believe i can give you a fair
chance to work on my Laptops"
You didn't give him a resume nor anything he could carefully review.
I need you to send me your name and address.
i have a reliable shipper that will pickup the laptops when your
finished with the service.
Caught him right there. He used the wrong "You're"
Also, he said he reviewed your resume. I thought you didn't have any to send him.
Thank you for posting this here. These nigerians are still using this "tactic". I am doing the same thing as you. I advertised my computer repair services on craigslist and got an e-mail from a Ray Benson:
"Good day
I have some faulty computers in my store kindly let me know if you are capable of repairing computers in volumes
Ray Benson."
I told him i would and he sent me almost the exact same message that you got.
"Hello,

know if you an expert in Laptop Upgrades and the following upgrade's
needed for 7 Dual core HP Laptop.
1 Format Hard Drive
2 Install Win Xp with Service Pack 3
3 Install Microsoft Office Package
4 Norton Virus Software
5 Adobe Acrobat Reader
6 diagnose Hardware. Hard drive, video card, processor.

After his next email that got wierd talking about his "reliable shipping company" i decided to google this laptop repair scam and i found this thread. Thanks again.

What a great first ever post.
I once found a website dedicated to scamming these scammers, there was one story where they managed to convince a guy to get a tatoo of the websites URL across his entire arm, managed to make him travel halfway across africa, and MABY got him to dig in a minefield near an international airport, I'll post the webpage if I find it.
EDIT:
http://www.419eater.com/
some of the stories on the forums are hillarius
I think he has stolen the laptops, and needs someone to clear it up for him.
