I use Auslogics. I have a feeling they all do the same thing, it's just a matter of preference.
Thanks for the boot CPU tip. I find TuneUp really helps too.
remember to frequently perform this maintenance, about once every 2 weeks, or once a week if a heavy PC user, it'll keep everything running fast and smooth :)

Good program
Windows 7 seems to have set up a weekly defrag for me by default. Neat.
My friend actually reformats his hard drive when anything begins to slow down. He does this like every month. He has OCD.
Ha! I do the same thing as he does.
So, i was breifly looking though the guide and knew about most of it except the being able to turn things off in the msconfig.
So i thought... hmm, well my laptop is horribly slow... maybe this will help...
Then i got worried... is this bad?

The fact that the lenght of that list exceeds the size of the window is why.

I have a lot of crap on my craptop. To be honest i'm surprised it still works, the fan stopped working for like a year, no ventilation, and before that the screen decided to break for about 6 months.
Still, all magically fixed with a screwdriver x]

Did you forget services.msc? If I look through windows services and make a list of services you can disable if you don't use networking or printing, will you add it?
edit:
Also, from what I have seen, you can disable ALL startup items and it won't effect/break anything. I have everything disabled, but my AV.
Crit:
You should warn people who have solid state drives that de-fragmenting their SSDs is unneeded (As they are designed to fragment the drive in order to wear-level) and will reduce the life of their drive by quite a bit.
Don't forget to mention dusting out your case :P
