A dual core will be bottlenecked by any new gpu.
You mean any new GPU will be bottlenecked by a dual core?
You mean any new GPU will be bottlenecked by a dual core?
Yeah, my bad
Do we have a ballpark for the release date on this? Before the end of the year maybe?
Yep. Sometime in December.
8600 gt all the way
Awesome. As long as these aren't like 1,200 dollars I should be able to snag one for my new rig.
$1,200 would get you 2.
The price is 600? Ho-lee shite. Awesome.
$1,200 would get you 2.
Only if that was true
Time to upgrade from my 9800 GX2
Only if that was true
I est price will be about ~850
Wait, they're THAT expensive? Jesus Christ...
Luckily I'm receiving a review unit of the 580 soon, I'll be posting an article containing the benchmarks. Shit, I didn't know the 595 was coming out, I would've requested that one....
Ask for both... or is that not possible?
Ask for both... or is that not possible?
Eh, looks bad when I request thousands of dollars in software.
Personally I'd like to read a single review on both in the same article.
Personally I'd like to read a single review on both in the same article.
Eh I'll try, EVGA has been really good to me in the past so I'll approach them first.
That's where I got my GTS 450 from. Really nice for a low end card.
I still have 7600GT, some day some time I shall upgrade or more likely, dig a grave for my old computer.
It probably won't drop the 580's price, but oh well. Fucking 580 is always out of stock :sigh:.
Aren't you poor? and you waste your money on high end gpus instead of college!
Yes. The 595 is (theoretically) cooler, quieter, and more powerful. Less risk, more juice. Better bang for your buck (all 600 of them).
No and no. If it's faster than the '90 it will be a hell of a lot more than 600. The TDP to heat ratio on a 580 requires a vapor chamber, two 580s with memory on the obverse side isn't going to be any cooler and it's going to thrash the shit out of ANY current PCIE slot, period. Either it's going to be crippled or it's going to be a four slot card. Physics > Ridiculous Expectations.
Sweet, just in time for winter. I was needing a new space heater.
I still got my old 8800 GTS and it works perfect.
Will this beat GTX295 Quad SLI?
Fuckers just bought a GTX 460 fffuu
Fuckers just bought a GTX 460 fffuu
Don't FUUUUUUU. Be grateful you have something better than a 6200 AGP that refuses to un-fullbright in L4D. Fuck that. I SHOULD FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
Will this beat GTX295 Quad SLI?
afaik a single GTX 580 should come close to quad-sli GTX 295 [editline]efe[/editline] GTX 295 in quad sli gets 66fps average in Far Cry 2 @ 2560x1600 with 8x AA GTX 580 at the same settings averages 69 fps at the same settings.
