I upgraded my cpu, mobo, and ram in september. Now I need to buy a car. I think I'm going to wait to upgrade from my 4870.

Wood screws? Or am I a generation late?
Wood screws? Or am I a generation late?
That stopped being funny the day after it started.
Wood screws? Or am I a generation late?
two generations late, stopped being funny a long time before the 480 even released
/g/ still talks about the wood screws. [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] I wish they'd shut the fuck up.

The joke was made when Nvidia used wood screws on the fake introduction of Fermi based cards at a technology conference last October (2009). It was before the 480 was released but not that long, and the joke derived from those new cards to begin with, it's just Fermi was delayed a few months. It isn't funny anymore, of course, but it just shows the lengths companies will go to in order to accomplish certain things. Not that any of it really matters anyways.
Should I stick this in with my 955 system?
More likely you should wait and see what AMD's offerings are and go from there.
and you write for who?
I write for a tech-blog I've created myself, rather not distribute the link until I have over a few hundred articles, it's pretty early in right now.

I'm quite happy for all these new cards to pass me by for now. My 9800GTX+ runs everything out there at medium-high settings nicely. Once games become GPU intensive enough to warrant an upgrade I'll pay. There's no reason for me to upgrade for at least another 18 months imo.
