He said $600-$900. Are you in the US mate? [editline]02:56PM[/editline] Do you have anything you could use? Screen, Keyboard, etc?
is that ATX? just wondering if you managed to upgrade the mobo. It's PCI Express if thats what your asking
is that ATX? just wondering if you managed to upgrade the mobo. (if its atx) I dont see why not, but someone told me the motherboard used special screws or some shit
it's BTX, a custom form factor designed pretty much only for Dell/HP/etc. All it is is ATX inverted, so the case opens not on the left side, but on the right side. But instead of standoffs, there's a mobo tray, so I guess you could drill out new holes for an ATX board then do some wiring for the LED's, as well as move around some mesh on the back of the case to reverse the location of the PCI slots and the rear I/O panel. Sadly, they don't overclock unless you have a Intel QX#### processor, although I've found a hacked BIOS on the internet, maybe I could try that, although I don't want to brick my gaming rig over a slight overclock (although it would be nice, seeing as my DDR2 1066 was downclocked to 800MHz for no reason) I actually upgraded my 710 mobo to the 720 mobo, it was way overpriced, but I guess it was worth it because I can't get over the case design and I wanted to get my Q9550 working and I can't figure out PCB wiring for my life.
i am not good with da computers so i don't know what the fuck ATX is/means. It's PCI Express if thats what your asking
seriously?
yes seriously. don't know what it is :saddowns:
Oh, his+yours is BTX :frown: For some reason my Dell XPS 625 is standard ATX
ATX is a form factor. Standards are ATX (mid-high end desktop boards), MicroATX (low-mid* range desktop boards), MiniITX (mini boards, like in booksize systems), MicroBTX (proprietary, usually in low end prebuilts), BTX (proprietary form factor, usually in mid-high end prebuilts.) Of course there are others. NLX, LPX, AT, Baby AT, and Notebook to name a few. *there are high end MicroATX boards, they're just not so common. [editline]07:49AM[/editline]
For some reason my Dell XPS 625 is standard ATX
inverted ATX which suxdix.
No Dell computer is good, you can't overclock.
You don't have to overclock every computer on the god damned planet. There's no reason to overclock a Dell.
My Dell's been going for 11 years and still plays Crysis on Medium, so they can't be all that bad. Provided it was expensive when I bought it. But build it yourself, I just ordered all my parts yesterday (i7/6GB RAM/4890) and it was so much cheaper than buying it pre-built from Dell. Reuse any old parts as well, such as Monitor/Keyboard.
My Dell's been going for 11 years and still plays Crysis on Medium
No.
my school uses these:
We have around 30 of those in our school for my photoshop class, I'm posting from one right now.
No.
Yes. Pentium 4 2.4GHz 1GB RAM 7600GS.
I have a monitor, and a keyboard and mouse. the keyboard and mouse are old though so i think i need new ones. All i really need is a new tower i guess. I am in the US, and the computer needs to come prebuilt because my mom doesn't trust me to put it together.
Let me put it like this. If you buy a dell you are a retarded donkey with overprotective parents that don't dare do shit with money so they fucking fuck dell up the ass. Grow some fucking balls.
Why would you even post?
Since you a going to do a misstake. A lot of sites can even build the computer for you "for a small fee". My point is that you can build some neon crap pc and it will rape the dell in both performance and price.
Since you a going to do a misstake. A lot of sites can even build the computer for you "for a small fee".
I don't plan on getting a dell. I convinced her that dell isn't very good. I'm now trying to find a site where I can build a computer that will come put together.
Good Job son!
Good Job son!
Thanks. Could you maybe link me to one of these sites you know of?
