If 8 is going to be the last, I would hope that Midori would be the next OS. Though I still doubt it. Microsoft's roadmaps have Windows 9 releasing around 2015.
Damnit, now Sony will need to make their own OS for Playstation users :(
What?
Y'know, to get back on the horse, not for xbox to outrun them :/
Y'know, to get back on the horse, not for xbox to outrun them :/
You sure you're thinking about the same thing we are? Windows 8 was rumored to have 360 compatibility, it won't though as emulating the PPC processor in the 360 is nigh impossible to do well. And the games won't work without that. Sony won't have to do shit.
This is how the windows brand will die: When Microsoft gets off their lazy asses and makes a new kernel from the ground up.
This is how the windows brand will die: When Microsoft gets off their lazy asses and makes a new kernel from the ground up.
What's actually so bad about the NT kernel? I know it isn't Linux or whatever, but still, you know.
What's actually so bad about the NT kernel? I know it isn't Linux or whatever, but still, you know.
The NT kernel is not going to last forever. It would be the best time to make a new brand when you got yourself a new kernel. The only reason it didn't switch from when dos was king to nt is because the market was too new and changing the name would hurt them.

I'm not saying it isn't, I'm simply curious.
