[QUOTE=doonbugie2;26664629]Mine is still better. Also, It is. Gaming on Vista/Seven with 2gb of ram isnt really great... Even in XP.[/QUOTE]
Must be one amazing PSU if it makes that PC of yours somehow perform better than mine.
And no, 2GB RAM is plenty, and if you throw another $25 at it in a month or two you get 4GB. I've been gaming with 2 for years, and still did until last week (I'm currently waiting on my PC new which will arrive tomorrow). I'd much rather prefer to have a x3 and 2GB RAM rather than an x2 with 4GB RAM. Even though mine is still under budget - and yours isn't.

Then you're logic is faulty. I have been working with computers since the 90's. I did not say the PSU "makes the system preform better'. Its simply a precaution, higher build quality, higher wattage.

This is a low budget build. A Stallion is a great PSU for low budget builds. I wouldn't throw a nice SSD in the PC for the same reason I wouldn't spend 1/6th of the budget on a very high quality PSU [hint: you did]. Why not just get a Sempron CPU and a GTX 460? because we evenly distribute the budget to all components. I'm sorry that you think your experience somehow makes you incapable of making mistakes, but it doesn't, and just because you may be more experienced than I am doesn't mean your build is better.
Look at the facts. Most of our components are comparable except the PSU, CPU, and case. I'd rather have a nice case - one that actually has some airflow - and a great CPU than a PSU because I have some personal grudge against the company.

I understand where you're coming from. But understand, the PSU is important, the Regor 250 wont much differ from the 450 for what he is doing. The harddrive I picked also isnt mediocre WD Blue. You know how many WD Blues have died on me? 3... You know how many cheapo "budget" psu's have died on me? 2, 1 Stallion, 1 Cooler Master 550W. Its simply quality. All of the other components, of which I spent a little extra for are still working to this date. You're taking a damn gamble on that PSU.
Could a lurker please weigh in on the situation? And you seem pretty unlucky. I've had one HDD fail on me my entire life, and zero PSU's. I'm 21 and have been (real) PC gaming since I was ~12

I thought you said you have been gaming for 2 years.

Has nothing to do with luck. More build quality.
Using 2GB of ram for years != how long I've been gaming. And
" But understand, the PSU is important, the Regor 250 wont much differ from the 450 for what he is doing."
You must not have ever played Minecraft.

Minecraft... Minecraft.... I don't play that... Also, 2Gb of ram is mediocre for newer games/operating systems. The standard is 4gb or more; even oem are smart enough to use a minimum of 3gb in their products!

Gambling involves luck.

Name a task a medium-gamer would do that will require more than 2GB RAM, please.
A task, well gaming is a task. Now you're just being foolish, this may sound strange to you but... It is a gamble to use a mediocre psu... aka a fucking example not litterly a slot machine.

2Gb of ram is crap. Ask anybody else... Vista/Seven + Games = 4gb+ Its basic math now.

*Slams a lead pipe on Shadaez head*
I'm agreeing with Shadeaz, 2GB RAM will be enough for now. The Rosewill Stallion isn't too bad, but I recommend that you get a better PSU as soon as possible.
Awesome sale going on right now! You get a $25 gift card when you purchase $25 or more (of course, right after I buy mine....). You'll be able to get the extra 2 GB RAM now, for free.
[editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
It's actually a $50 gift card for $300+. Nice.
[editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
That's if you buy within the next 2 days, so hurry.

Atleast it isnt a Youngyear. But I guess my views are different when it comes to gaming. For example, Crysis, Project Reality, Arma 2. Dare try to run those on 2gb. 2Gb is not future proof. But hell, it aint my build.

I agree on that 2GB RAM is in the low-end, but he can easily buy another 2GB later on.

Mhmm, But why not get 4GB now instead of getting 2GB. For example, I was thinking of getting 4gb, then I got 6gb instead to future proof.

Because not everyone is a wealthy individual.

But with the Xmas deals going around I'm guessing he'll be able to afford 4GB.

My thoughts exactly. Newegg usually finds every other reason to have a sale.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to save some more cash and go for a 600 dollar build?

Yeah, Patience is key but I think iFaux lacks it.
Updated OP, final price 344.14; got 4GB RAM and a bigger HDD too.
