The best mouse I've had so far actually, especially comfort wise.
Tho the ace edge 3200 was quite a good one to.
I never liked the logitech mice, especially not the mx518.
Oh and also, mionix saiph is really uncomfortable and plastic-ish despite its looks.

I've been using a G5 for a while now and I love it.

Though I'm going to have to disagree with you. I love the shape of it, but the orange colouring on mine is wearing off, and the fact that it changes the dpi setting if you hold down both right and left buttons for a few seconds drives me INSANE.
MX518 1600 DPI (x2) here.
Does anyone know the tracking differences of the old 1600 DPI and the new 1800 DPI versions?
The new one has two large mousefeet rather than 5 smaller ones
it's pretty gay.

Greatest mouse I've ever used. No lag whatsoever.
I have a Logitech MX518, got it a few days ago after my Deathadder's scroll wheel started to act up (Would jump around a lot and the middle click would often doubleclick even after the firmware update). I prefer the MX518 by far in terms of build quality, software and buttons. It also looks nice without it glowing blue.
The Deathadder has a better shape for relaxed browsing and such. You can just put your hand on top and you'll have it in a comfortable, natural position. With the Logitech, you have to shift around for the comfortable position. It's not much, though it feels slightly less natural.
It's still very comfortable and with that slight reduction in feeling natural, you get a much better grip on it.
I bought mine seller refurbished from eBay for $49 CAD after shipping, HST and the currency conversion charge.

Works well enough, probably going to use it for years to come
I have a Logitec MX700.

It's wireless.
It's optical.
It has a charging cradle.
It works.
Specialty or customized mice are expensive fucking gimmicks which only say that your epeen is apparently huge.
Step father has it. I offered him my iHome mouse for when I get my Death Adder. His reply:
"AND GET RID OF MY BABY?!"
Must be people really love these...
Yea, once you get used to them you won't use anything else. I go to my over to my friends sometimes and I try to play a FPS on his computer and I completely blow because I can't use a regular mouse. It has come down to me that I will use a Trackball for life.

Got it for 2009 christmas, Still works. Cheap but good. Costs about, 30$ I think.
Max DPI is 3200
I think I need a new mouse, my old wireless one is getting a bit old. The threads are worn away on the mouse wheel from scrolling so much, so I can't scroll for shit now. Any recommendations for a wired mouse? I was looking at a Logitech G500 since they're on sale for €30 in a local shop, or a CM Storm, but I'm not a fan of red leds.
I need to get myself a proper mouse. I've got this piece of crap at the moment.

When I'm trying to aim in games, especially sniping, it feels like the mouse is stuck on this massive grid. Amazing how I still do pretty well.
Did have a Saitek Cyborg, but that got fucked, so I bought one of these:

I am using a Razer Lachesis.

It's a very good mouse, but it gets covered in sweat and that's very annoying.
How should I go about cleaning it?

I clean my lachesis with a tissue. and some toothpick to get the dirt out of the scroll wheel.

I used a soft dishcloth (I think it's actually microfiber) and some diluted soap and water. I have glasses though don't use them, which means I have this alcohol based cleaner that seems diluted somehow, which works excellent on my monitors and peripherals.
To clean out the shit around the buttons I used a makeup brush. I highly recommend buying a few different sized brushes, they work excellently for cleaning stuff like: My BlackBerry keyboard, the mesh front of my Cooler Master case, desktop keyboard, the corners of LCD monitors and a whole lot of other stuff.
Some time after Christmas day I'll give you guys a quick review of this.

Really good mouse
i think having a mouse that costs over £40 is kind of retarded
you can get laser mice for £20 in asda, and I don't care if the RAZOR SUPER EXTREME MEGA PRECISE HOLY SHIT POWER mouse is slightly more comfortable or has a whole keyboard attached to it, it's a waste of money

Sure, it's not as fancy as the other mice in this thread, but by damn, it works. And the oversized thumb buttons are a great bonus, especially since this was packaged (and sold!) as a generic mouse without thumb buttons at all.
If I ever get a new mouse, I'm going to require at least one oversized thumb button on the left side - because I've grown very accustomed to using that button as my forward button. WSAD be damned.
