The biggest program with that mouse is that it's not ergonomic. Tried it at a kiosk at Fry's with Mass Effect 2 on.
Yeah it takes a while to get used to but after a week its a really nice mouse and your hand fits with it really well, er well, at least mine does.
I guess I don't see why you would want a g500 over an mx518. Over 1800 DPI is beyond useless and just causes acceleration problems.
Completely unrelated I really like your avatar. Also thanks for making feel better about my mx 518 purchase.
I just go to Goodwill and pick out the best USB mice they have. Got me a really fancy laser mouse there once.
I just go to Goodwill and pick out the best USB mice they have. Got me a really fancy laser mouse there once.
Love Good Will! I got my ZBoard Fang there, and 2 nice Bluetooth keyboards. Mine rarely has good mouses, though. I got a decent 800 dpi dell mouse with forward and back buttons for my GF, though.

How do you not know what Goodwill is? Unless, of course, you don't live in the United States.
i live in the US
Got a Logitech G500 for Christmas. Can't wait to use it. Anyone else have it?
I have it. Needless to say you won't regret it.
I guess I don't see why you would want a g500 over an mx518. Over 1800 DPI is beyond useless and just causes acceleration problems.
I got it for the weight system, additional button(s), and more importantly, the location of the dpi buttons. Plus I had the money. :smugdog: Don't get me wrong, the MX is great too. They're practically the same mouse. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] Plus, the G500 has a tilt wheel.
I just go to Goodwill and pick out the best USB mice they have. Got me a really fancy laser mouse there once.
my local goodwill sucks
my local goodwill sucks
I got Crysis Maximum Edition for $12 at my local Goodwill. As well as a mini fridge for $25. Hell yes.
I'm using: and
Anyone have the Razer Mamba? I might use it as a secondary mouse.
It's awesome, I love the wireless but it's a bit pricey - it was $150 in Canada so I bought it for ~$110-$120 in the states when I was down there. I take the Lachesis to school for use in the Mac lab, because we have these fucking things there: Not trying to sound like a troll / mac hater, but seriously, that apple mouse is the worst god damn mouse I have ever used. Ever.
I have this bad boy: I hate it.
I'm using: [img_thumb]http://drh1.img.digitalriver.com/DRHM/Storefront/Company/razerusa/images/product/gallery/razer-lachesis-gallery4.jpg[/img_thumb] and [img_thumb]http://drh2.img.digitalriver.com/DRHM/Storefront/Company/razerusa/images/product/gallery/razer-mamba-gallery5.JPG[/img_thumb] It's awesome, I love the wireless but it's a bit pricey - it was $150 in Canada so I bought it for ~$110-$120 in the states when I was down there.
I agree. Is it easy to scroll on the mamba? I'm one who likes to scroll. hard
The Mighty Mouse is not meant for gaming. It takes some getting used to, but it is great for productivity with large images and web design. Not worth the price of buying it separately, but since you get one with any iMac or Mac Pro, I see no reason not to use it if you do that kind of thing. But it's sort of take it or leave it, if you like the feel, it's a fine mouse. If you don't, you're screwed.
I meant the mamba.
[img_thumb]http://www.digitalsaonline.co.za/catalog/images/Mo-LLS1BG.jpg[/img_thumb] Logitech LS1, laser mouse.
That must be pretty economical to run seeing as its green and all
It works.
this is a mouse thread, so can I ask what a decent wireless mouse / keyboard + mouse would be? I don't really play fps, but it needs to be accurate enough for WoW and photoshop, and needs to be sexy cheers
this is a mouse thread, so can I ask what a decent wireless mouse / keyboard + mouse would be? I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 I wub it
Kensington PilotMouse Optical for my desktop. Probably the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. Exactly the right amount of buttons, too. Tracks my shag carpet mousepad like a pro, and the rubber grips ensure my hands never slip. I fucking LOVE this mouse. It also has a cool logo on it.
Pros: *Goes well with the hand. . . . at least mine *Has a 4x9g and 4x6g weights that you can use *Has two skins or whatever, the one in the picture is rough, the one that isn't in the picture is metallic colour, smooth. I prefer the rough one. Cons: *Personally I dislike the shape and feel of the skinless mouse (Super Mouse Boy) *Metal coloured skin feels like shit *The metal bar system thing goes loose after some use, though I might have played with it. . . . I dunno. Welp, that's about what I can do (it's shit)
I meant the mamba.
Well sure, it's as easy to scroll with as any other mouse with a mouse wheel :P Edit: Actually now that I remember, my mouse wheel squeaked after a few months of usage, but you can pop off the top cover-thing and put lube in this little hole, and it stops the squeaking. I emailed Razer about it and they recommended "graphite powder" or something, because there's no liquids, unlike the lube.
I got Crysis Maximum Edition for $12 at my local Goodwill. As well as a mini fridge for $25. Hell yes.
You lucky bastard. All there was at my goodwill were a bunch of old crap and a hockey table (that I couldn't buy).
G500 is more or less an upgraded MX518/G5, so unless for price reasons you should choose the G500. But then again, I got mine for only 10 bucks more than the MX.
The G500 was £30 whereas the Mx518 was £20, so I figured why not.
I wish i had a mouse such as you guys. :smith:
I use the Microsoft Explorer Mouse. Got it for $23 from Newegg on sale. I love the recharging dock it has, I always have problems with wireless mice and batteries.
I've got no camera so i'll just go find a picture Don't really need a big expensive mouse, all I would ever need in a mouse is 2 mouse buttons and a scroll bar. A mouse is a mouse. It's the exact same except that the metallic grey-ish paint of the two keys are almost all gone from years of usage and the dell symbol is gone. Worn out generic dell mouse represent!
I use This: [img_thumb]http://www.xsreviews.co.uk/images/RoccatKone/Roccat-Kone.jpg[/img_thumb] Really good mouse
I've got this, It's okay but the drivers suck balls.
I fucking HATE microsoft mice. the scroll wheels don't click, they just mush along :colbert:
