Honestly, to justify putting iOS on it they'll probably make some shit up like "To show it's got more potential than just the mobile market" which is utter shit. iOS is a mobile OS; it hasn't the capabilities of a desktop OS, it hasn't the potential of one either, and should never be used as one. Apple is really being fucking stupid trying to shove iOS on everything, they're even fucking the iTV up with it.
What's sad is dumb people/religious fanboys will buy this and think it's amazing and revolutionary, and totally worth the obvious extra money they'll be charging for it.
There's a point where you go from simplicity to stupidity with an OS, and a mobile OS on a desktop is it.

explain apple tv and mac mini
Experimentation.
explain apple tv and mac mini
the mac mini is a pretty good compact computer
although it's way too expensive for what it is
this looks like a pretty old patent, it was probably patented before the newest imac came out judging from the diagram
i dont think they will do it as this is what the ipad is, they are basically saying:
' hey let us replace efficient hardware with our hands! wont that be cute? '

Well, it is hard to be worse than what we expect from apple.

it's hardly powerful and doesn't sell well at all. just like the macbook air, except the macbook air sells decently so i didn't include it.
the mini is actually cheap and quite affordable, though, considering it's an apple product

really, if you have to have a Mac/Osx, but can't afford an iMac/MacBook, Mac Mini is absolutely the way to go
If it wasn't for the iOS mode, and it just activated the touch screen, I'd quite like this. I like the idea of being able to pull down the screen and use a stylus to draw in Photoshop or Illustrator.

so what you're complaining about an optional feature?
so wait. are we moving backwards? we spent so much time being proud that we're moving forward. to a world where everything is wireless. now they're taking something traditionally wireless and making it wired. this is interesting. could be really good. especially if you like painting on a computer. could suck. could be a 1000$ unmovable netbook tablet.
a touch screen iMac? seems interesting.
Touch screen computers are cool, but it doesn't really work well when the screen is upright, that'd just be uncomfortable.
so what you're complaining about an optional feature?
Because I'll probably end up paying for it.
This is one thing I hate about apple, their obsession with putting iOS on everything.
I think the assumption that iOS will be on this thing is stupid.

nobody is assuming anything
it's in the patent
