Progman is still in Windows. It's just more commonly called the desktop now. (The desktop is selected, it's kind of hard to see the border)
So... if the desktop has a border, what's beyond that? A black void of nothingness? I'd like to see someone come up with a way to minimize the desktop so we can have more windows behind it. :P
:(

The border was drawn by WinSpy to outline Progman.

Doesn't matter, there could still be something hidden back there.

There isn't. Just black.

If you hide the background you'll see the pixies that make the computer work. They don't like being disturbed though.
If not,can somone recommend me of other?

Google for N-lite, in about a half an hour you can have your very own custom windows XP with exactly all of the features you want.

And if it is a Mac you get a portal into Steve Job's head ala Being John Malkovich.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but the desktop is just an image drawn on to the root, if it wasn't there it would just leave a copy of the last frame that was rendered before the monitor refreshed.
So if you dragged a window it would leave loads of copies like when a program crashes.

Indeed you are correct. It's black when that fails to load.
