Does a camera's flash damage internal parts on a PC?

http://imgur.com/zWetc I took this image up close with flash so someone could help me find a new hard drive that was compatible, and we can't tell whether it's SATA 2 or SATA 3 so I don't know what hard drive to get.
But will the camera flash damage any of those parts? I noticed that the battery and other things were pretty close so it worried me. Trying to fix up an old computer for my parents.
EDIT: Apparently it's Sata 2. Would it be listed under products as PATA 100? Or something like SATA 1.5 gb/s
I highly doubt it.
Cool, thanks!

PATA 100 is the old ATA connection standard using ribbon cables, you don't want one of those. You also don't want a SATA150 drive, those are from the original SATA spec. Most SATA drives you're going to find on an online retailer are going to be SATA2 or SATA3. SATA3 drives are going to be more expensive and aren't always backwards compatible with SATA2, but should state that they are SATA3 drives.
