I'm sure you wouldn't have to, but that's a good idea.
Not it's not.
It was a joke [editline]06:06PM[/editline]
True, you can show off your fancy hardware. There are lots of good cases that don't have windows too though, like the CM ATCS 840. Would have gotten that had it been cheaper. Also I just realized my Wii Fit board (don't ask) has feet with rubber inserts. I can just unscrew the feet and put them under the case.
Or you could just go with my earlier suggestion and put a rubber mat underneath it
So I'm all set right? [editline]01:52PM[/editline] Also will I be able to easily upgrade to a 5850 or 5870? I won't need a better PSU will I?
Yes, 650W is more than enough for a 5870. You're set!
Yes, 650W is more than enough for a 5870. You're set!
=D Will order tomorrow, bank was closed yesterday and today so my mom couldn't move money from my account into hers. The only PC I use is my uncle's, he has this laptop. It runs source games decently, but I can't wait to have a desktop that can max the same games at 1080p.
Yeah, will be a big difference. I'm getting a 1080p monitor wednesday :downs:. Currently shipping (23.6in)
Yay, another build log. :downs:
So I have to plug the Anti Static Wristband to my case and I don't have to worry about shock?
Your desk is sexy. I want one. Badly.
So I have to plug the Anti Static Wristband to my case and I don't have to worry about shock?
Wrist band is optional. Unless you're going to rub your face against your motherboard.
Mostly all good cases have a window on the side. And yeah, the case is good for LAN parties because of the handle, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have rubber feet to keep it stationary.
Fuck handles lol. I'm gonna carry my PC from the bottom and feel secure.
Wrist band is optional. Unless you're going to rub your face against your motherboard.
Better safe than sorry.
Your desk is sexy. I want one. Badly.
Thanks!
Fuck handles lol. I'm gonna carry my PC from the bottom and feel secure.
You do that.
Just ordered it, but got a 700W ModXStream PSU instead of the XFX, colors fit my case and it was cheaper. YESSSSSSS
Better safe than sorry.
Wristbands are for the paranoid. I've built at least a dozen PCs now and I've never had a problem with ESD. And neither has my friend who has probably built more PCs than me.
Wristbands are for the paranoid. I've built at least a dozen PCs now and I've never had a problem with ESD. And neither has my friend who has probably built more PCs than me.
Whatever it was only $6 so
Just ordered it, but got a 700W ModXStream PSU instead of the XFX, colors fit my case and it was cheaper. YESSSSSSS
why
Just ordered it, but got a 700W ModXStream PSU instead of the XFX, colors fit my case and it was cheaper. YESSSSSSS
Cheaping out on the a PSU is fucking retarded to be honest.
Cheaping out on the a PSU is fucking retarded to be honest.
The modsteam PSUs aren't that bad, or cheap for that matter
That power supply is good.
That power supply is good.
Funny this has come up as just this morning a ModXtreme in one of our PC's crapped out, we've had it for a year. Not saying they are all bad, just I personally would not recommend one now.
Aren't XFX and ModXStream both OEM PC P&C Power Supplies?
Funny this has come up as just this morning a ModXtreme in one of our PC's crapped out, we've had it for a year. Not saying they are all bad, just I personally would not recommend one now.
Coincidence? I'll probably get a new power supply within a year anyway so
Aren't XFX and ModXStream both OEM PC P&C Power Supplies? Coincidence? I'll probably get a new power supply within a year anyway so
Nope, and you just bought a much worse power supply.
OCZ OEMS for P&C but not the Mod or StealthXStream series.
well, not much worse, but it would be a lot better had you gotten the XFX seeing as how much more connectors it has [editline]06:02PM[/editline] and it does output more power, albeit only a few more watts
Aren't XFX and ModXStream both OEM PC P&C Power Supplies? Coincidence? I'll probably get a new power supply within a year anyway so
You know you don't need a 700W PSU anyway. You could get a 600W or even a 550W from a better brand and that would be fine
You know you don't need a 700W PSU anyway. You could get a 600W or even a 550W from a better brand and that would be fine
no reason not to buy an overpowered PSU that you won't need to buy another of in a year or two when you need more power
Nope, and you just bought a much worse power supply.
Exaggerate more please
well, not much worse, but it would be a lot better had you gotten the XFX seeing as how much more connectors it has [editline]06:02PM[/editline] and it does output more power, albeit only a few more watts
Only reason I switched was because my mom didn't want to input over $30 And it's not like OCZ is comparable to Eagle or anything
And now the Hades is 50%. Awesome, to bad I payed $80. Still got to expect that to happen.
