Oddly enough Amazon only shipped my case but not my HDD (got the 500GB version of the spinpoint), and Tiger Direct didn't ship yet.

Still nothing shipped except case Does it normally take this long?

Tigerdirect is not the fastest with shipping. For newegg, unsure about tigerdirect, it takes 1-2 business days to get ready for shipping, and about 3-5 business days for shipping

Also there are some metal plates under the front bezel where the 5.25 drives are, I remove those right?

USB to SD adaptor are really cheap anyway, I think you should invest
