MSE, and Common Sense '11
Or he uses Norton
Yea, could be that.
AVG here.
Nod32 and MBam once in a while, and I've never had a single trouble with my computers. Also, common sense is the key.
I just use my macbook pro
Hurr Durr Macs never get viruses :downs:
Avast! and MBAM once in a while :colbert: How do you know you have no viruses on your computer, it's not like keyloggers prompt you to install them.
Common sense. And some AV's just in case, they never really bother me.
Just ran a full scan with Malwarebytes. While playing half life 2. :smug:
I just use my macbook pro
Me too :buddy: I put AVG free on it for kicks. I use MSE on my desktop.
I mean they pretty much took all my speed
You need a new PC.
reinstall windows xp
You really need a new PC.
Avast! and I guess I'll install MBAM once I get home, seeing as quite a few of you apparently use it. I always forget to turn on silent mode in avast, it gets really - AVAST VIRUS DEFINITIONS UPDATED
I use anit-biotics, I mean how do you fit a norton cd through your mouth?
Comodo I might try MSE though.
Still you get them from flash drives and stuff [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] I'm using Comodo
I can't remember the last time I got a virus from a floppy, CD, flash drive, or whatever.

mse, never really used antivirus, but this shit i dont notice at all, and gives me protection i guess
I just don't download everything in sight.
Just because you don't notice a virus doesn't mean it's not there.
Just because you don't notice a virus doesn't mean it's not there.
It's true, I have all of OP's banking details and he is none the wiser.
I use Nava Shield.
:gonk:
I use Nava Shield.
Where can I download?
MSE is my AV of choice. I have it set to automatically run a full scan at 23:00 on Sunday (theory being it will be mostly if not completely done when I get home from school Monday 14:30). I don't know what the default is on the background scanning, I just know I run default setting there. If it's on, it doesn't use much of my resources, so I'm not bitching. I did fix up this girl's laptop once because she had a virus problem - after I ran ClamAV on it through Ultimate Boot CD, I fired up Windows and noticed she had three AVs installed - Avast, Malwarebytes and the McAfee thing that probably came with Adobe Reader. I assumed they wern't set up correctly at all, so I ditched McAfee, set up Avast to scan at the same time I set MSE to scan, and left Malwarebytes the hell alone. Turns out the last guy who tried to fix the virus problem thought "I'll just install Avast and it will be magically fixed". Well, at least he picked a decent anti-viANTI VIRUS DEFINITIONS UPDATED oh God damn it.
Haven't been attacked by a virus in over three years and I've just been using Avast! and now I'm using MSE.
what's with this common sense nonsense what does that have to do with anything
what's with this common sense nonsense what does that have to do with anything
Not downloading a file called porn.exe
I don't use one either, common sense is more than enough. I haven't had a virus in over 4 years now, so I think that's good enough as confirmation that common sense works (I sometimes download an AV to scan and see if there is one, so no it's not just me not noticing it). Plus even if I got a virus, I'd download an AV and remove it (or format the HDD if needed).
I run MSE just for peace of mine. I've had it from day 1 and I only had a few false positives and 1 real virus
