Firefox not letting me see the dumb ratings i am randomly handing out [editline]08:19AM[/editline] holy shit it's not in chrome either maybe I've been banned from the ratings :saddowns: or it's just broken... probably just broken.. or i need to clear my cache or something :crying:
It works in IE. >:3
oh and now this
That's my biggest complaint with Windows 7. I can understand that it's to help computer illiterate users, but to not provide an easy way to disable it or remove the settings it applies is stupid.
Just ordered some cable tubes to sort all this shit out. I bet it will take a whole afternoon to sort it all. :suicide:
Yeah the cable wrap makes it look nice. :3: Also ignore the ethernet cable cause I just put that in. Also the slack wire is my keyboard because I have it on a tray and it needs to be able to extend.
Pepper;20218620'][IMG_thumb]http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/noobtrap3000/HPIM0426.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
lol k'nex. And is that a heatsink in the center of the shot? wtf...
When people think that they know Everything about computers just because they passed GCSE ICT.

Well hidden trojans.

Being the on-demand tech support guy. Family members expecting you to give away parts for free if something is broken.
8 gigs of DDR2 512MB ram has "gone missing", and I had to replace all of them. :colbert:
lol k'nex. And is that a heatsink in the center of the shot? wtf...
And 2 or 3 fans. They thought it needed some extra cooling.
I hate it when computer illiterate people are lecturing you on things they know nothing about.
When you think you did a good/great job of building a computer and when you turn it on it doesn't start and you spend an hour realizing that you forgot to plug ONE thing in...well its happened to me
when an installer asks me if I want their bullshit IE toolbar. when ati fucks up their drivers/driver installation. happens quite alot. still prefer them to nvidia though. when I open the task manager to find a bunch of processes that shouldn't be there.
When someone sees I soft-modded something, they assume, I R HAKZ0RZ G0nNA BREAK THAR COMPUDER D: When a virus I found in XP is smart, one in particular, blocked every .exe file, gets me a blue screen in safe mode, 'access denied' when I try to get into C:\, USB ports (exept the keyboard and mouse) Blocked, ethernet blocked, I had to fix it via an external hdd and some luck
Six months out of warrenty. [editline]05:04PM[/editline]
And 2 or 3 fans. They thought it needed some extra cooling.
actually 4 fans the cooler is from a pentium III 733mhz from a compaq deskpro_EN
What pisses me off is when people say that Operating Systems and programs are shit and don't even try to fix what is shit. Like today at school, some dude who pretends he knows a lot about computers (also he likes Mac) told me that he didn't like Windows 7, apparently it was shit. When I asked him why, I was told that the taskbar was too big, and the login screen was ugly. :sigh:
or the opposite, where people love things for retarded reasons. some people in my class want an ipad simply because they like their touch :downs:
Then when they drop it that oh so smooth screen breaks. Then they get another one then break it again.
When people seem to think they have to take sides in the whole mac vs pc thing.
Being asked why my major isn't computer science at work CS =! IT/SA
When people seem to think they have to take sides in the whole mac vs pc thing.
I think that is annoying to, I found a happy middle ground of Microsoft/Apple products in my house. Windows for all the computers, and Apple products for all the portable stuff, they surprisingly work quite well together in this regard.
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=20230921&postcount=105 People being smug about something that either looks completely gay, or I could easily out-smug.
When your new hard drive in your new rig vibrates so much it causes the case to vibrate and makes a sound very similar to a Windows 95 era drive.
When you have to wait a fuckload amount of time to upgrade your system to a better OS only to find out the entire thing got fucked over at the last part of it, forcing you to do it all over again. I can't count the number of times this has happened to me.

I can't count the number of times this has happened to me.
Any modern OS only takes ~40 minutes to install in my experience, even on an Eee PC and a Nettop, so not really a fuckload amount of time there. Only a few times have I had an issue installing an OS either (I have done it at least 30 times), and it was caused by a faulty DVD drive.
when torrents have about 500+ seeders, and the download speed is still about 10kb/s

Any time I install Vista or Win7, it takes me 3-5 hours to get it fully installed. Probably due to the huge amount of programs I got installed when I'm upgrading. I try to do a clean install only if I'm 100% sure my PC won't get more screwed over than it already is (I've had situations where a clean install completely broke my PC, no joke). For the most part, I avoid upgrades.
There is your problem.
Like I said, I try to avoid doing upgrades. I always go straight for clean installs unless the risk of something screwing up is too high.
doubt any IGP today is faster than a 7800 GTX or any other top card from 2005.
There's truth in that since 5 years from now you wouldn't expect a IGP to have the same processing power as a GTX295/395 or a HD5970.
Like I said, I try to avoid doing upgrades. I always go straight for clean installs unless the risk of something screwing up is too high.
Clean installing won't fuck anything up if you know how to do it. And it's rather easy.
