Family members expecting you to give away parts for free if something is broken.
Kinda related to this. Me and a few friends just parts swap whenever we need something. Like a few weeks ago a friend needed a NIC and I needed a CD drive. We just traded.
when torrents have about 500+ seeders, and the download speed is still about 10kb/s
This is why you get invited to private trackers / don't download the ones with 16,000 leechers.
It works in IE. >:3
Works for me in chrome [editline]09:45AM[/editline]
Vista and 7 have a games button just like you want. :D
Tell me where this is on vista
People who spend $2000 on a laptop then find out it can barely run a last-generation game, like UT3.
people who buy laptops and just keep it on their desks.
When I have to choose between Windows XP and 7. When I must buy normal cooling to my passive HD4850, because they didn't have anything normal at shop. Screw silent PC, I want to play Borderlands and Red Faction without minimizing them every 10-15 minutes so temperature can drop from 105 to 64 Celsius degrees. People who think that Radeon 4350 with 1GB of memory is good.
When I have to choose between Windows XP and 7.
Dual boot.
Dual boot.
I'm smart enough and I have got this thing. But many games won't work without registry entries.
When I must buy normal cooling to my passive HD4850, because they didn't have anything normal at shop.
strap a fan to it then
I'm smart enough and I have got this thing. But many games won't work without registry entries.
What? Have one Win7 Partition, one XP partition and a data partition. Install the games on both OSes and point them to the same directory on the data partition so you have registry entries for both OSes with one set of files for the game.
strap a fan to it then
Right now I'm writing an e-mail to shop where I bought it with questions about warranty and other things related to it.
Yeah the cable wrap makes it look nice. :3: Also ignore the ethernet cable cause I just put that in. Also the slack wire is my keyboard because I have it on a tray and it needs to be able to extend.
Why not just push it behind the desk where you cant see it? When I get a different desk in my room, I'm gonna try and build a little shelf behind it, just to rest wires on. I want to a have a wire free room. That's the main con of a glass desk. Also, I'm gonna drill some holes for the keyboard and wire mouse, on the tray.
Will this work? Right now I'm writing an e-mail to shop where I bought it with questions about warranty and other things related to it.
It will unless applications copy certain files for certain OSes.
It will unless applications copy certain files for certain OSes.
This sounds good. But while we're at things which piss me off, I can also tell about much higher ping under Win7. While it should be around 90, it keeps jumping from 100 to 140.
Random BSOD's that I can't find the issue when I play TF2. My computer just freezes, then sound repeats the last thing that was sent, then about 15 seconds later, it displays something like "The clock interval on the secondary process failed to return in the alloted time allowment" or something similar.
when i cant use steam game overlay because punkbuster doesnt like it and kicks me out of COD4 servers

This pisses me off whenever i reformat, i have to whip out my 50ft Ethernet cable to update the dam wireless adapter drivers so i don't have to lug my heavy pc across the house lol. Edit: gah quote didn't work, this was to the op.
When you update your drivers just to notice that it makes some of your games unplayable anymore. And then you have to downgrade just to play the god damn game.
When people install lots of search bar addons.
Windows 7 actually needing a program that uses 30MB of RAM and often uses 20% CPU to play audio. Wow I fucked that up when I first typed it.
When people install lots of search bar addons.
On a related note, how everything you download tries to sneak in a toolbar when you install.
When the computers decided to do things without my fucking permission.
Like download porn. Or at least you can tell people that's what happened if they see pr0n on your computer.
Nothing about computers in relation to hardware or software aggravates me more than having to deal with end users to troubleshoot the issue.
Not having enough holes for good cable management. God dammit antec 300.

When managed switches start fucking up and refuse to let clients connect to the DHCP server to get an IP.
When clients refuse to connect to Altiris Boot Agent to recieve an image.
When memory starts to fail and causes a rediculous amout of BSOD's
How it's apparently an industry standard that all peripherals must come with shitty applications that are useless and poorly designed (e.g. printers, mice, webcams, etc.)
Prebuilts come with million gigabytes of applications you will never need Seriously, my mom bought a laptop last summer, it had 2 60GB partitions and the system partition had about only 20 gigs free before I even installed anything

It's funny how they get paid to put that crap on there yet they still charge you like 5 times more than it would cost to build your own better pc WITHOUT the crap.
Retarded case layouts. Want to take out a HDD for troubleshooting? FUCK YOU TAKE OUT THE GRAPHICS CARD AND CPU SINK TOO.
