It doesn't. Try running Ravensword or Gangstar. Not going to happen very well.
iTouch: iPod Touch:
Oh piss off, who the hell really cares? YOU know what he means and so does everyone else, it's a pain in the arse calling it the iPod Touch.
iPod Touch games aren't very good though. :\
I suggest you stop downloading shit games and get some of these: Edge Labyrinth 2 JetCarStunts Rolando 2 Unify Canabalt Zen Bound Tap Tap 3 Fingeric Fare city GeoDefense Swarm HookChamp MX Mayhem Pocketball GloBall Lumen Touchgrind Drop7 Go and read about them in the appstore, and download the ones that fit your taste in gaming.
As far as I have observed it's fine The new gens feel really light and plasticky, don't like the feel.
How can they when they have no plastic on them at all? (except those same parts that the first gen has) I personally think the flat back is horrible (it scratches way more easily)
How can they when they have no plastic on them at all? (except those same parts that the first gen has)
hahahaahahahahaha [editline]12:12AM[/editline] read my post
hahahaahahahahaha [editline]12:12AM[/editline] read my post
I did... I know plasticy doesn't mean they have plastic, but they're made of freaking metal and glass.
I did... I know plasticy doesn't mean they have plastic, but they're made of freaking metal and glass.
yeah but whats stopping it feeling plasticky? overall I don't care about comparing between the generations, I can do the same shit on all of them.
hahahaahahahahaha [editline]12:12AM[/editline] read my post
The first gen iPod touch is more plasticky if anything, and severely lacks in hardware and other improvements such as the side buttons. It's fucking slow as hell and, since I owned one, compared to the later iPod touches or the iPhone 3GS, it's a piece of shit and cannot play any game well at all. It fucking even suffers with Bejeweled 2, lagging to shit during the warp effect. Gangstar does not run well on it, and that's a fact. You're not the 'odd one out,' you're just lying. Gangstar not only takes a good minute to load, if not more, but it freezes every like 5 seconds and never goes above 20FPS. I don't even want to know how shitty Ravensword runs on the 1G. [editline]12:24AM[/editline]
yeah but whats stopping it feeling plasticky? overall I don't care about comparing between the generations, I can do the same shit on all of them.
No, you cannot. You cannot run most 3D games, you cannot run emulators worth a damn, you don't have the side volume buttons, and you do not have bluetooth just to name a few.

Especially if you jailbreak, the addons slow it down even more and it just gets unusable and crashes apps all the time. I personally know the difference between both sets of hardware and I can easily say I'd sacrifice the solidity of the device for good performance.

I've used the 1G alot and it feels like you're using an dumbed down version of the newer gens with sucky hardware. It's like those dumb fucks that never update their programs: I'm using IE 6 because it's old and old is better, derp! :downs:
Well, the 1G still runs things at all. It's still a great device, and it alone still beats all alternatives, but if you're trying to compare it to faster, more feature-rich devices like its successors, you're asking for factual nerdrage.
The 1G has exactly the same internal hardware as the Touch 2G, original iPhone and iPhone 3G. Stop saying it's slower because it isn't. If it is then it's just yours.

Heart for you. :)
Stick to your 1G then, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we don't give a shit what you have, if it keeps you happy then fine, shut up.
Well, some people obviously DO give a shit about what I have, just look at the guys telling me my ipods slow, cheap and can't run any apps. I'm just trying to say that the ipod 1G isn't as shit as you guys are making it out to be, it's over 2 years old and does everything the new ones can do (Without bluetooth and side buttons) and there hasn't been a massive addition to it to justify shelling out for a new one.

The 1G's can't do everything the 2Gs and beyond can. The hardware makes it difficult to run most 3D games very well, now that developers are starting to just optimize their games for 2G and beyond.

There's a difference between us being provoked, and us caring. A good example is I'm not going to have people bitching at me (apart from you) after I mention I have a 1G too.
I think it'll be called "iTouch YourChild"!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/covinoandrich/3821820098/ Don't know if its real or not but its still somewhat proof that it might have a built in camera and mic.
The 3rd gen was supposed to have a camera, and it did till they decided to remove it. The new 3rd gens actually have a empty space right where that camera is, and some leftover jack to a built in mic too.
I still doubt they'll include a camera/mic. It's just massive Market overlap and takes away from the exclusivity of owning an iPhone.
A mic maybe, but I doubt they'll put in a camera.
