Oh god help me someone just mentioned Linux and now all the neckbeards have converged around me while I'm trying to study. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline]
i'll give you 5 bucks to make my router work
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Just walked out of my Cisco Routing final with a solid B. Feeling pretty happy about life in general right now.
Oh man, I had a practical on Monday and was freaking out since a couple of the routers couldn't ping each other. OSPF decided to work on some parts, so I managed to get a mid-70s low-80s grade on it. I got 82% on the online final.
Help my Steam is locking up every few seconds and keeping my HDD active, I tried opting out of Beta but nothing improved. HELP.

Also if you were using serial interfaces, did you set clock rates?

Places them where it seemed good, and it did what it was supposed on the PC's i had time to test. But when the instructor checked he noted that A: One access list did fuck all, and OSPF didn't work. Since i had about a minute left he gave me that minute. Turns out i had placed a access list so OSPF was blocked, and placed another on the wrong interface (fa0/1 instead of fa0/0, probably typing error) Fun thing was, that when i and the others walked out, we had to sit down in the cafeteria for 30 min, everyone had been so tense all morning :v: [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Remember kids, Always apply shit to the correct interface [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Also ordered a 1300 page Linux handbook for my current course. Now to F5 the delivery tracker
They've been going through driver problems for like the last 5 years.
when I had an ati card from like 2008-2011 I never really had problems with driver performance - CCC on the other hand is the spawn of the fucking devil, it wasn't very good to begin with and they've one nothing but make it worse they're still great at compute performance with openCL aren't they? last I checked they were leaps and bounds ahead of nvidia cards [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] is nvidia releasing any new desktops GPUs this year? I'd quite like to upgrade but I' like to a)see anything new they have to offer so I can see whether I should pick it up and/or b) see if it's accompanied by a price drop for the 600 series I doubt it'll be anything major though since they just released titan and won't want to outclass it too soon
[t]http://puu.sh/2GSRe.png[/t] best out of three agree for club 3d disagree for sapphire box for gigabyte
Why do I only get 113MB/s on two SSDs in RAID 0? Is there something fundamental I am missing or something?
Ok I really need a notebook, every time there's an outage I have to get one from someone else to plug into the modem just to do the mandatory "Sure it's not your network?" shit. I also like how they always have outages and when there's problems afterwards they are like "Nope that was already fixed can't be related" However I do like the support i get from the extension I got from an employee once, those guys are (probably) technicans and have actual "do something about it" access to switches routers and so on.

Will all the SMX's unlocked or something. You're effectively buying a TESLA at that point. I think the 780 is due out Q3 or so this year though given most rumors.
Did you have your networks on the same area? Also if you were using serial interfaces, did you set clock rates?
The one interface I was having trouble with was actually a Fast Ethernet interface. The addressing was fine since the instructor marked the addressing and topology before I started working on the physical stuff. I used a crossover cable. I did a show cdp neighbors and the other router was visible... Maybe the addressing was wrong and the instructor missed it. I still wasn't able to ping between that interface. My brain was pretty fried at that point, so I could have made some dumb mistake somewhere. A couple interfaces weren't set to up on the last router I configured because something must have went wrong when I pasted the config into the terminal window. I made a fancy banner, though that didn't work either.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
This won't get rid of the 20 useless local IPs I have created when trying to port forward.

So, I was trying to re-install Windows 7 on my friends laptop. The installation went fine, but the key was a bit scratched. A few numbers were hard to read, I tried with different letters / numbers. Still didn't work. SO I looked it up and finally, I found a Microsoft Tech employee who wrote that you could open "slui.exe 4" and then you get the usual OEM code thing. Then I call Microsoft Then I write that LOOOOOOONG number Then it says "Danish customer support is closed, we have open at 9-17 monday to friday - minus holidays. Press 1 if you are okay with English support." I press 1 "Hi this is Microsoft support, which product do you need help with?" "Windows 7, I'm having problems reinstalling it" "Are you from Ireland?" "No" "Then you have to call the Danish customer support" "They're closed and I was asked if I wanted English support and I pressed to do so." "Please call the Danish Customer Support" "They're closed, and I was redirected here!" "The Danish customer support is open between 9AM to 5PM tommorow. Please call them" "NAISJDANSASOKJNAS" *then I hang up*

Unless you messed with hello or dead timers or the election got messed up, I can't think of a good reason why it wouldn't work. I think a networking discussion and questions thread would be pretty neat.

Browsing on 0.1Mbps is terrible. Everything is pretty slow. Still faster than dial-up though. Or these terrible speed drops I have had before. This doesn't drop that much and is accesible everywhere, even in car! In fact, I am away from town, like 40KM away, posting from my mothers laptop. I have access to electricity, but I left the charger home because 4h of battery is enough for what I need to do right now.
I noticed a Vistacare truck outside my house doing stuff to the poles, I google them and they seem to be the contractor for Bell FibreOP. So I look over Bell's packages again and notice this on the 80Mbps down 30Mbps up connection: Lame. Luckily their 50/30 and 20/15 is unlimited.
Come to Estonia. I have a 250MB internet plan on my phone, but only thing I lose is speed :v: I wonder why I cared so much before. Maybe I hadn't got the SMS with "You have hit your bandwith cap, your speeds will now be limited, unless you want to pay 0.17€ per MB" before and thought that I will have to instantly pay for MB.
[t]http://puu.sh/2GYOt.png[/t]
80/30 is considered fiber-level speeds?
GiffGaff are amazing, from the few minor outages they have had, they have stuck £5 credit on my phone as a way to say sorry.
I'm happy with 3 so far but dreading the customer services if something does go wrong. £12.90 a month Rolling contract, 250mins, 2000 texts, unlimited internet + tethering, rolling contract.
In other news. Steam can now handle game subscriptions http://store.steampowered.com/news/10463/
I thought a rule with fibre was that down and up was the same? How gay. And I'm really fucking amazed that caps still exist. I've never seen them in my country.
70$/month Unlimited SMS unlimited Phone Unlimited Internet + tethering @ 7.2mbit/s I had around 15gb traffic last month, and didn't get a speed reduction. certainly worth its price. They don't even throttle torrent downloads trough phone.
I thought a rule with fibre was that down and up was the same? How gay. And I'm really fucking amazed that caps still exist. I've never seen them in my country.
Fibre is either a) Something you should get plenty of (Food) b) A fibre-optic cable. The cable doesn't define what it needs to do. Company decides the speed and that's it. Waoo in Denmark just decided to go with the same speed because: "It's silly that it takes 30 minutes to get to X, but it takes 4 hours to get back" [editline]25th April 2013[/editline]
80/30 is considered fiber-level speeds?
What's wrong with that? Unless you live in a city, the chances are you're not getting more than 30mbit anyways. (On copper that is) So fiber is just a boost nonetheless (Also, Google offers 5/1 on fiber - so shh)
