Networking part hasn't changed on Windows 8. Write "Network Connections" in search field and go to settings. Then open that and you can manage it all.. JUST LIKE YOU ALWAYS DID geez.
Who uses a search function to navigate menus. [editline]27th April 2013[/editline]
Are you serious? It's the same as Windows 7 with the Network icon in the taskbar. Your own incompetence isn't a reason to hate Windows 8.
No. It only gives an option to open the side bar, you can't manage the adapters. It just won't let you.

You still have to hit "Change Adapter Settings". Where I find pressing WINDOWS -> Type "Network Connections" -> Arrow down + enter + enter is quicker for me. Depends on your typing speed though.
Are you not getting this? The one that came with the notebook doesn't have that option.
Are you not getting this? The one that came with the notebook doesn't have that option.
Right, and Mars bars are harvested from Mars. Unless it runs Windows RT I don't belive you.
Are you not getting this? The one that came with the notebook doesn't have that option.
Soooo... why does everyone else have it, then?
You guys are being retarded, this is a notebook as you buy it off the shelf, I don't care i the Pro Version I can buy somewhere else still has it, when the oem version most pcs have doesn't have the option.
The OEM would have to fucking remove it themselves somehow, it's not some Pro-specific functionality. You better show some damn sources for that claim.

You can optionally give me teamviewer ID & pass and I can take a look if you're so confident.
Yeah right I can't right click on the fucking icon, instead I somehow special clicked and made a menu appear and made the Network Adapter settings appear. This is the most retarded shit I've ever heard, you guys are being fucking ridiculous. I'll try and get a screenshot later

Oh wow, it actually brings a Met... "New Experience" or something menu up if you left-click it. I've never done that before, because I'm not special.
Oh wow, it actually brings a Met... "New Experience" or something menu up if you left-click it. I've never done that before, because I'm not special.
I assume you never used windows 8 on a laptop / wireless device? =P
You're the only one who's ever had a problem with it here. Do you seriously think you have the credibility to put it back onto us at this point?
I am the only one here who had this problem OMG IT MUST BE FAKE. Not to mention that most people here probably didn't use a Notebook that came with OEM Windows 8. And I have nothing to proof, my claim is absolutely credible, you are just being daft and acting as if this is impossible. What even gives you the idea that I would make this up.
I assume you never used windows 8 on a laptop / wireless device? =P
I used to have a Windows 8 partition on my laptop, need to reinstall that at some point.

Because the only situation that would exist under is if the OEM set it to do that on purpose which is the most far out situation there is. What you're saying is that it brings up a menu THAT GETS BROUGHT UP WHEN YOU LEFT CLICK THE ICON. You're one of the least intelligent people here at the moment, not from this, you have a horrible history of stupidity, outside and inside of sipwicket.
nonetheless he could just use my solution with searching? or even just goto control panel
Yes, and not to mention the metric fuckton of alternate ways to get to the same place. If you can't change that one setting that has so many redundancies, you're incompetent. Every time you post, you're proving that even more.

You can still open the network and sharing center through the control panel, but the option to manage adapters is gone and you can't click the Names either. [editline]27th April 2013[/editline]
nonetheless he could just use my solution with searching? or even just goto control panel
Does not work.
do you have parental controls on? :v:
... No it is the Notebook as it came in the box with the admin account. Well and chrome is installed, that's gonna be it, I'm sure.
What brand notebook is it, even?
What brand notebook is it, even?
It's some Sony Vaio
I still offer teamviewer support if you need :p
I don't need support, I simply borrowed the laptop to debug some network problems (Routerboard died) and just got a different one since it was impossible to do on that thing. Not my problem anymore. [editline]27th April 2013[/editline] The guy I borrowed it from mentioned that Windows seems to change a bit when you initilize it on Wireless LAN instead of a wired connection, this part I don't know the merit off. All I know is that it was impossible to get to the network options through ANY of the conventional ways.
It's some Sony Vaio
Can you at least post a screenshot where it's missing? [editline]27th April 2013[/editline] Also if the OEM has messed with something that's nothing to do with windows 8 anyway.
