bitcoin client isnt required to be open to still recieve payments right?
I don't think so. Might as well open it anyway.
i know... but i want to play them anyway :saddowns:
Turn it off then christ.
Decided to give it a crack: And if you're feeling generous: 1JmtAQMMqTTHi8mw1jasvLoiziokbAuLNZ
Turn it off then christ.
but then i dont get paid.
Start selling your bitcoins before this month ends unless you want to actually lose money if you bought them, or you're going to sell for like $10
Are there any sites/surveys that you can do that will give you like 0.1 btcs?
but then i dont get paid.
This isn't a hard concept. Don't play games or don't generate bitcoins. Come on man.
Start selling your bitcoins before this month ends unless you want to actually lose money if you bought them, or you're going to sell for like $10
Doubtful. It'll probably keep floating on 20 or start peaking at 50 by the end of summer.
Doubtful. It'll probably keep floating on 20 or start peaking at 50 by the end of summer.
It's only only going to increase steadily as the coins become more rare, but I can see a crash near because of how unstable the market is.
poclbm's been running for ~10 minutes, my GPU's running at 69C... should I up the fan speed or underclock a bit?
Nevermind
It's only only going to increase steadily as the coins become more rare, but I can see a crash near because of how unstable the market is.
The market is probably going to do a hard reset (a crash) every two months or so as it stabilizes. If you see that then buy as many BTC as you can. [editline]10th June 2011[/editline]
why does guiminer just say 0 shares accepted?
Probably because your pool hasn't accepted any of your shares. [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] Night guys.
Fucking Nvidia :smith: I could be rich right now :argh:
Fucking Nvidia :smith: I could be rich right now :argh:
go invest in a 24/7 mining rig brah
How much bandwidth would this use? I have a friend who might want to give this a shot, though he's on a Rogers Rocket Hub (Basically a 3G HSPA+ modem, gets about 7.2 Mbps) with a 10 GB monthly cap. I imagine it doesn't take a lot, though overages are a bitch ($10 a GB).
good thing my 6750 has a sweet stock cooler on it (plus the AC in my room is on) becuz i left it on and i'm going away for the weekend gonna make so much dosh and/or blow my new $120 card [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] hot damn just checked, i'm earning 0.007 BTC right now way better than the .00002 i was earlier
Why would you use this and not a torrent program?
pretty meh rate compared to everyone else I believe, running a 4870 x2 but I don't know if I can go higher
Meh, I'm done with bitcoin. I made a whopping 0.04 BTC in about 16 hours of mining. I can't afford a dedicated miner, and it's not worth the electricity costs. [editline]...[/editline] According to the wiki, you should be getting like 180Mhash/s.
Guess I have to fix my shit then
Why would you use this and not a torrent program?
What. Yeah, go torrent some money.
Meh, I'm done with bitcoin. I made a whopping 0.04 BTC in about 16 hours of mining. I can't afford a dedicated miner, and it's not worth the electricity costs.
This, making nowhere near as much as the electricity costs with my 6970. It's simply not worth it.
This, making nowhere near as much as the electricity costs with my 6970. It's simply not worth it.
My computer is on 24/7 anyway, doesn't make much of a difference in electricity costs really.
My computer is on 24/7 anyway, doesn't make much of a difference in electricity costs really.
Unless you are pushing your hardware to its limit 24/7, this will increase electricity consumption regardless.
Unless you are pushing your hardware to its limit 24/7, this will increase electricity consumption regardless.
lmao when i go away for the weekend, literally everything in my house is off except for my PC, which usually stays in sleep mode i can bear the extra dollars
You're probably all already aware of this but economists and analysts are calling Bitcoin a scam, claiming that it will only benifit early adopters (and that's without electrical bills in consideration). Here's one article: http://www.quora.com/Is-the-cryptocurrency-Bitcoin-a-good-idea/answer/Adam-Cohen-2 (some of the comments on the reddit post are also informative http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/hpxf7/why_bitcoin_is_a_scam/?limit=500).
There will always be a market for bitcoins, people are willing to pay a premium for the ability to purchase drugs, weapons, etc. safely and anonymously.
My computer is on 24/7 anyway, doesn't make much of a difference in electricity costs really.
For me, idle power consumption is 170 watts, power consumption with the GPU at 100% is 380 watts.
Electricty is fairly cheap in the US anyways (as long as you're outside New England, but even there it isn't too bad)
Mining for me -really- isn't worth it considering I only get around 40 mhashes with my GPU (260 GTX). That, and my mom always complains whenever the computer is hot and ignores me when I try to tell her it's supposed to be hot when it's running at full capacity.
fuck yeah already made 0.01 BTC on BitClockers let's push for the weekend
