So. You you leave your pc on just to generate currency? Does the process of mining actually do something useful with the processing power or something?
L2 stockmarket
Clearly we should dump all our money into an economy that crashes when people make internet threads about it
Good job, you earned $3.85 USD. Way too little payout for it to be viable for me.
hurr it'll take at least 3 days to complete, if the trend keeps up i'll have 1,4BTC [editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
Clearly we should dump all our money into an economy that crashes when people make internet threads about it
lmao or you could put it "let's put all our money into an economy that crashed because governments suck at running things" it's all the same, all economies have their ups and downs
or you could put it "let's put all our money into an economy that crashed because governments suck at running things" it's all the same, all economies have their ups and downs
One currency is based on the buying power of a nation and its economic activity including the products it produces The other is based on the death rate of expensive graphics cards everywhere This currency lost 50% of its value in ONE DAY
Has anyone said what graphics card is the best for this? And im not talking about which gives out the best performance, I mean which one has good power consumption and gives out good performance. In other words which would get you the most amount of money without wasting too much power. I thought maybe the 4870 would be good or something like that?
One currency is based on the buying power of a nation and its economic activity including the products it produces
You'd think that'd be the case, but it's actually just a measure of how much money your nation can borrow from China before they start asking for it back.
You'd think that'd be the case, but it's actually just a measure of how much money your nation can borrow from China before they start asking for it back.
Actual economies: People produce goods in exchange for money, or lend/invest in others so that both may make money Bitcoin: The people accepting it for illegal stuff are now gone (because now everyone knows about it and it's not really that anonymous) and the people doing legal stuff won't accept it (because it's not an actual currency) so with nobody to take it it's just people farming money which isn't an economy. We are talking about an economy that was destroyed because someone made a forum post about it (SA/reddit/xkcd). I don't understand how anyone can put faith in that while the US economy, despite being $14T in the hole, keeps chugging along.

So my payout lock is finally over, and i have 0.9 BTC. Is it worth doing a payout? And how do i do it?
You go to Mtgox, make an account, link with a Dwolla account. Add coins to your account (when they ask how much you're going to add, say 1 but send whatever you got if you have less than 1). Sell it on the market, transfer funds to Dwolla, transfer funds to bank account. Not really worth it though, you'd end up with under $15 at the current prices.
so with nobody to take it
If nobody takes it, how come I can sell BTC on MtGox, transfer that to my bank account and buy items with that money Even if it has no real value, it doesn't matter if there's people dumb enough to give you 20 bucks a BTC, which I can then convert to Euros. And compared to the USD, BTC's doing a hell of a better job right now, considering USD is going through hyperinflation because the Fed just keeps printing money with no end in sight.
So my payout lock is finally over, and i have 0.9 BTC. Is it worth doing a payout? And how do i do it?
Wait until the BC->USD price goes back up again.
