Watch out for the dead cat bounce, people that bought in at the recent low, but it might just, but its at 16$ and rising again now, if people start mass selling once it gets a little higher, there might be another huge drop.
This is actually interesting to observe. I have a theory of that the economic swings that occur in a "real" economy every few years or months will happen to bitcoins every few weeks or days and will have a much larger effect on the value of the bitcoin due to its volatile and unstable nature.
Money could definitely be made here if you're smart and lucky, but it's very very risky.
Damn, Bitcoins.lc is a nice place to mine. ~12 hours of mining, 0.45 in confirmed funds and 0.48 estimated.

I just get this error:
2011-06-12 13:27:40: Listener for "Default": 12/06/2011 13:27:40, Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC
What to do?
I've had this running tonight and I've got 0.01228309 BTC so far.
Which is 0.14 brittish pounds. Oh well.
Bitcoin was 10 USD like 18 hours ago, and it has almost doubled in value now :v: It sure is volatile.
I tried to set up CUDA miner with GUIminer, but as soon as I click Start mining a message pops up saying that rpcminer-cuda.exe has stopped working...
Yeah there's definitely small-time profits to be made on a day-to-day basis.
This is perfect for any would-be-investors or anyone interested in investment/stocks, it's very, very accessible, much like spread betting but with £s instead of pennies and with no huge amount required to be invested.
So yeah, take risks, don't expect anything and you won't be dissapointed, and most of all have fun. I've never seen a more accessible tool to get trading and start riding the wave as this.
Argh, GUIMiner is just stuck at connecting all the time. Trying to use BTCGuild.

Make sure you update your graphics card drivers, because they include the CUDA drivers.

Command line clients give better performance. (Personally I recommend Phoenix)

I disagree I get a steady 50Mhash/s with a GUI client or with a command line client.
[editline]12th June 2011[/editline]
What is wrong when I enable both my gpu and cpu it caps to ~50Mhash/s eventhough they both get ~50Mhash/s when one is disabled.

I think you can use MSI Afterburner for this.
It's an XFX card though.

It'll still work.
I'm using MSI Afterburner with a PowerColor HD5770.

Sell Bitcoins when they're worth much and then buy some when they're cheap, but I wouldn't risk investing in Bitcoin since they're so volatile at the moment.

You wouldn't really have to be that fast, just leave a buy order at low amount on MtGox and after that is fulfilled, you do a sell order.
