The recent surge in popularity is the reason for the current volatility. Once the "get rich quick" novelty wears off, the currency should stabilize.
it's one of the elements yes.
Whooo 1.00 BTC!
Thinking about dropping $50-$75 worth of BTC, maybe even $100 once the price drops to $15 or below. It's semi-disposable so I have nothing really to lose and only something to gain.
Though all the people on the official forums are all "LOL YOU MUST BUY NOW CAUSE IT'll JUMP UP TO $500 PER COIN IN A FEW MONTHS!!"
Not sure if I should trust that :v:
I don't see much point in mining when I don't have a x3 6990 system running 24/7. And the ability for said computer to mine will get harder and harder as time goes on (not to mention the extreme investment it'll cost).
Hmm, wondering if i could buy something online with the 1 bitcoin i've mined, would save me the hassle of converting it into dollars/euros and all that stuff.
Seems like GUI miner can't find my graphics card the only things it find is "[0-0] Juniper" which I have no idea what it is and my CPU. I have a ati HD 5770 if it matters.

Or wait, can Juniper be my graphics card?

How long was the delay between buying and selling, once you hit buy did you immediately get bitcoins at the current market price or was there a delay?
Well, you first have to GET your coins onto MTGox, which can take a bit. Once it's there it's instant.
Dwolla seems complicated, screw it.
If you're in Europe, I would suggest you use BitMarket.eu instead of MtGox.
You can buy/sell with PayPal, you need a reputation to get verified (eBay/BitCoin forum etc.) so you won't get scammed. Waiting to get verified :buddy:
awwwwww yeeeeeeaah i have 0.09 bitcoins with 0.04 more on the way :v:
1.40 bitcoin(s)
Deposited a bitcoin into MtGox.
Time for extreme market manipulation. Except not.
That's after running it all day for the last 2 days or so. I think I'll keep going until I have 3 or so.

Why not use MtGox? You can do euro bank transfer there.

Nevermind, they removed it...
[editline]1:11[/editline]

It's not worth it if you don't have a very large amount of processing power.
Doesn't seem to be too reliable
