Should I buy some coins now or what? Is it worth the investment?
Sure as long as you're willing to loss any amount you invest
The coins change price so fast it's actually a good idea to invest a bit.
3.10 btc now. I've been running it on and off for the past couple days. Probably going to stop mining for a bit once I hit 4.
Is there any way I could get in trouble (tax reasons or otherwise) for investing in bitcoins? I'm in Australia.
What graphics card are you using? Some there's just no point with.
I've got an AMD Sapphire HD6950 graphics card. Get around 200-300Mhash/s, only problem is I can't actually do anything other than browse forums and stuff while it's running. If I try to listen to music or watch videos, the whole computer locks up.

Makes Bitcoin mining and using SVP very awkward on my 6970.
That sucks, unless it's a problem with the HD6950 exclusively I'd suggest try eitehr running a different type of GPU miner (i.e. phinoex) I'm unsureif that uses OpenCL as well and I'm only suggesting ebcause it appears as an alternative on the list to open cl. That or a different media player, I've got my two 5850 mining fine with Winamp running.
Question: How hot should I be letting this go to? I either have my fan at 75% - 81 C or 65% - 84 C. Are both of those temps okay? [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] Or should I turn my fan up even higher?

If your temp goes too high, the PC will shut itself down to stop any damage, so there's nothing to worry about.
http://forbitcoin.com/ , do micro jobs for small amounts of bitcoins or pay others to do small jobs for small amounts.

When the card is being used for OpenCL and anything which uses DirectX11 is opened (including Flash video with hardware acceleration, and video with most renderers) simultaneously, the machine will hard lock, necessitating a reset or power cycle. AMD don't really give a shit, as long as people get good FPS in the latest games no other bugs have a financial impact on them.
Ooh I see, so it's not because the graphics card is being used 100% by the Bitcoin miner program then?
GPU usage doesn't matter, as long as an OpenCL and DX11 application are running simultaneously. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] Just tested with -s 10, and it seems to crash at the exact second an OpenCL calculation runs once DX11 has changed the card's 'state' (AMD's words)
Right now i'm using GUIminer and Bitcoin pool, but nothings appearing in my wallet. What could i be doing wrong?

i forgot that i left my pc on sleep mode on friday morning, now i'm in Maine and getting zero bitcoins on bitclockers
what would be the average bitcoin fraction an hour on an nvidia 570?
i have been mining all morning and all night and when i first started, estimated earnings on bitclockers was 0.04 coin. at 7 PM the next day it was still at 0.04 bitcoin. after the next block finishes, im getting my coins and trying a different pool... also, is 80 mhashes a good amount?
So is Bitclockers any good to go with or would it be better to go with someone else?
