It's not worth it - you'll make a more constant income and probably more overall by mining in a large pool.
On my main PC, GUIminer works fine, but on my server:

Any ideas as to why it is doing this?

I see, thanks

Another thing you need installed is python (it wouldn't work on my xp computer until i installed python)
No point selling at Tradehill right now, you'd lose a lot of potential earnings, they're at like 15$ USD right now.
Yeah ATM it is better to buy from Tradehill than to sell. It'll probably equilize prices with Mt Gox soon.
Also each trade you do gets commisioned at 0.065% at tradehill (its the same for Mt Gox I think). At tradehill though if you sign up with a referrer you get a 10% discount off that commission charge

Got 4 BTC and going to try to participate in the doubling game they have going on at the official forums every week there. Basically you deposite BTC into a certain account from a trusted member, and once whatever you put in was doubled by other members despositing into it you are removed from the "game" for that week. It's basically a mini ponzi scheme that people knowingly start over every week, so the only person that ends up "losing" their deposit is whoever was last - kind of a gamble. But easy way to double your amount of bitcoin as long as you keep it small and disposable! I.E. 1 BTC or lower
Need to rebuild my PC thoough first so I can install the bitcoin client there.
15.9 Mhash/s
How do you guys get like 100+? :saddowns:

With an ATI card.
360-400 Mhash with 5870 clocked to 890-975.
Hmm there is a 5870 for sale here about 115-130 euro.
Should I?

I wonder when nvidia is going to release drivers with official opencl support. because from what i can find, current drivers dont support it (or do it really shit like)
Just bought my new mining rig with the money I should be saving for college, but whatever I'll make that back in a couple months anyway. I don't even need a job when this thing arrives.

I found a CPU and board and built a dedicated rig and did a few "improvements"

i plan to underclock more until just before bottlenecking my 5750

From my vague understanding of how this all works, it's not so much ATI having top notch OpenCL support as it is with how ATI make graphics cards. nVidia use less, but more powerful stream units and ATI uses lots of weak stream units. For things like Bitcoin however, the block calculations are so simplistic that even ATI's stream units can handle them easily, and by virtue of having more of them, ATI blows away nVidia

Imagine it like you need to kill a civilian/worker/pleb in an RTS game. ATI do the equivalent of zerg rushing them with other civilians, nVidia send in 5 cavalry units

Well, the miner uses opencl. ati cards fully support it. nvidia cards sorta do but the driver side of it isnt there. untill the drivers support it then we can find out how the two match up. but if nvidia keep taking their time on it, the bubble might have burst by then.
I tallied it up at 1719.4 MHash/sec goddamned we need more people.

Did you seriously use a camera to take a screenshot?

Also, why doesn't the radeon hd 3650 support opencl :saddowns:

No 3 series cards do, though considering how little 4 series get it wouldn't be worth it anyway.
I would possibly be interested in the facepunch mining pool if it was trustworthy. I have 270 Mhash.
