On a completely unrelated note, I just realized I've been overclocking my graphics card wrong for as long as I've owned it.
I would just set my clocks and voltage in afterburner and be happy, for once I decided to actually look at live readings while under stress and noticed that it was throttling my card quite very badly.
So I realized that I have to apply the settings in afterburner, then open CCC and drag the power setting slider to +20% and press apply.
I used to get about 350Mh/s (HD6950 w unlocked shaders) now I've upped the core clock to 950Mh/z and I'm at almost exactly 400Mh/s
WHY DID I NOT INVESTIGATE THIS SOONER?

Yeah? I've got two CMLs running 520VbR with a 34m Pitch Black Vent System
A 2300 ZMI with count em 2 DMI 14 ProStreams
2 1004 DML V14 GigaVerbs set at 500/600
all of this is netting me a whopping 42069 mhash :smugdog:
LIES!

My unlocked 6950, mining away.
One thing though, as I was cropping the image I noticed the Voltage Regulator temperature (bottom of gpu-z window) was 108 degrees. I clicked over to the window (which doesn't update when it's not active) and it had risen to 113 degrees.
I then promptly decided that an extra 10-20 Mh/s isn't worth fried VRM's and I'll happily do without the extra ~0,00030-0,00060 per hour that brings.

Dwolla is a service that transfers money from a bank account to another dwolla account(kind of like paypal.) As far as I know this is the cheapest way to transfer money as they only charge $0.25 per transfer.
can you mine bitcoins with your cpu?
only asking cause i have an nvidia card.

You can but it will be even slower than your GPU
my i7 got like 3 mhash when i tried it
it will also slow your gpu mhash down a ton too
Wow, Btc is going up

Don't they charge like 20 dollars per trasfer from your bank account, though? What's the minimum amount you're allowed to transfer from your bank account to dwolla?
Bitcoin is the best demonstration of Libertarian hubris ever
Wow, Btc is going up
Britcoin charges 0.00 due to not beign regulated yet. :britian:
I'm gonna stop mining for a while. After a week or so of on/off mining my total is 1.3 Bitcoins.
Mtgox postpones for the 3rd time.
I don't understand this... You get free virtual money by letting your computer run some kind of program?

If you don't get enough work done in relation to how much you payed for the hardware to mine and how much you pay for electricity, it is a waste of time.
