My ATI graphics card won't show up on phoenix/GUIMiner.
Is it a extra card? If so you need to plug in a monitor or use a dummy plug.
My ATI graphics card won't show up on phoenix/GUIMiner.
It's listed by it's production codename. So it can be some weird name like Cypress

Hi all - do we havea facepunch pool i can join or what ? What should i use?
No Facepunch pool since the total mhash is not worth it. Get Guiminer, go Slush pool. Just log in and turn it on, easy as well logging in and turning it on.
I've been thinking of starting this, just to see how much I can do with my GPU in particular (the list of results doesn't have the exact configuration of my GPU). But the Bitcoin client itself makes my HDD spazz out a ton, it just won't stop accessing it. Is it meant to do that? It's fucking annoying.

Once it finishes it will calm down.
If you don't believe in bitcoin then good, more money for me. Past two weeks I've made 80 bucks fuck yeah. [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] 800 m/hash aswell.
That's cool but you're paying more for the electricity that you're wasting than you are earning.
That's cool but you're paying more for the electricity that you're wasting than you are earning.
Not quite. For a _very_ high estimate of power costs lets say you have a computer pulling 1 kilowatt running 24/7 for 2 weeks mining. An average power cost is $0.15 per kilowatt hour. 1 kilowatt * 24 hours * 14 days * $0.15 = $50.40 Assuming you generated $80 of BTC in that 2 weeks, you made $30 profit. EDIT: For a point of reference, my computer only pulls 150 watts idle and 200-250 under full load.
Guiminer is only finding my cpu [o-o intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CP - im getting about 1.3 Mhash/s - Is it worth it to even try? My gpu is ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO
You can only do GPU mining on the 4xxx series and up.
Well dam - one more reason to save for an upgrade.
Wait, what? If I'm reading that correctly, fuck Bitcoin7.
No se. What does it mean.
If I understood correctly, they charge you 12-22€ for withdrawing your fucking money from their service. That means if you got 13€ for a Bitcoin and transferred the money back to yourself, you get one fucking euro.
Thats retarded or greedy is more like it.
Selling 1.75 BTC.

Prices are too stable; this is boring.
Then sell all your coins, make a change!
Prices are too stable; this is boring.
Yeah because the bubble has been burst for a good couple of weeks now. You guys were late to the party. If that's not a bubble bursting I don't know what is.
Blow that bubble back up then!
So you basically mine for money you get to spend on Wikleaks donations? Or are you guys just mine so that if retailers use bitcoins, you'll be a rich person.
