Hopefully they'll rise up again. I'm always sent into panic mode when stuff like this happens, berating myself for not waiting to buy at a lower price. Ugh. I'll take the advice and hang on then. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] Man I really hope it doesn't drop any further.
Welp BTC guild is being DDOSed again.
So now that I have a graphics card again, I think I will try this out. I've been looking for a pool to join, and at first BTCMine looked reasonable in that it was UK based and had a reasonably high GHash/sec rate, but registrations are closed. Mineco.in looks next best in that no transaction fees or tax, but it's GHash is way down at 70. Is that still worth it? I have a 6950 so apparently I can contribute anywhere from 300-400MHash/sec
What exchange should I use? I want to sell BTC for GBP and have it transferred to my bank account with no fees, any such service?
What exchange should I use? I want to sell BTC for GBP and have it transferred to my bank account with no fees, any such service?
no such thing as "no fees" for that, sorry.
2 hours of mining and I've made 0.3 BTC. Pretty good going imo
no such thing as "no fees" for that, sorry.
Oh ok, how about PayPal?
Price is dropping too much too fast for me to be patient, I'm pulling my 6 BTC out of mtgox.
What exchange should I use? I want to sell BTC for GBP and have it transferred to my bank account with no fees, any such service?
Britcoin.co.uk - no fees whatsoever
2 hours of mining and I've made 0.3 BTC. Pretty good going imo
I mined for 2 days, and I now have 0.05 BTC! What are you using?
no such thing as "no fees" for that, sorry.
britcoin fuck dropping fast atm down to £7, hopefully it'll recover. luckily sold all coins & withdrew yesterday due to needing cash soon cash shame I can't invest though.
Anyone feel like trading 0.5 BTC for Deus Ex? It looks like a nice game.
I've read around and don't understand transaction fees. Could anyone explain them to me or point me to a source that explains it in layman's terms. When should I use them? What benefit do they offer me?
I mined for 2 days, and I now have 0.05 BTC! What are you using?
Yeah looks like it went down a lot. It's now at 0.02 BTC haha
Hey I was mining at BitClockers with GUIMiner at 160 MHash/s. I stopped the miner to check the webpage then started it again and now I can't get it to go past 30 MHash/s... I changed literally nothing. My Card: Radeon HD 5770 with Catalyst 11.6 drivers. Is it me or just the host?
I had that with my 4770, try rebooting.
I had that with my 4770, try rebooting.
Solved it, was an issue with ATI tools underclocking the core clock speed.
Mine or game basicly.
I have an i7 with a Radeon 5770 and I can get like 75mhash/s with just my CPU, but it makes my computer unusable. Is there any way I can set it to not lag my computer but still generate bitcoin? I can play Crysis 2(and original) on max settings and only use like 60% CPU, but when I set Bitcoin to 1 thread which sets it at 20% according to the computer, it lags just to move windows around. Even though if I keep Crysis open it doesn't lag my computer if I do something else.
If you limit bitcoin to a certain amount of CPU, your not going to be getting as much mhash/s. To be honest, 75mhash/s is not worth it.
http://www.bitcoincharts.com/markets/ Up $3 from yesterday. Another spike incoming?
Good good, go my younglings rise so I can sell you. Now to know where and how.
we need a program that monitors the market live [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] also same as above post
http://www.bitcoincharts.com/markets/ Up $3 from yesterday. Another spike incoming?
More like stabilizing from the mtgox hack crash.
Pepper;30945865']we need a program that monitors the market live [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] also same as above post
sierra charts program with the mtgox live feed, but the feed needs updating

If you use the right programs your 5770 should get around 150Mhash, and everything games will be doable (turn off hardware acceleration in youtube so your I7 handles them).
Price is pretty wild right now due to the overall rise, if someone's got coins to peddle there's plenty of quick bucks to be had right now. A couple of hours ago it was up over $16, now it's down to $14.
Fuck sake, BTCGuild is still offline.
Fuck sake, BTCGuild is still offline.
As soon as it went offline I migrated to deepbit.net, think I'll be staying due to the quick and steady payouy.
As soon as it went offline I migrated to deepbit.net, think I'll be staying due to the quick and steady payouy.
I'll wait a day then probably move to deepbit as well. Would prefer not having to create accounts on all these different websites though.
