So what is the best Bitcoin to Euro site?
Fucks sake, all the decent pools are going up and down like mad.
So, someone in Europe willing to buy some bitcoins?
You're not getting 75Mhash with an I7, my I7 950 only gets 10Mhash and thats pushing it. If you use the right programs your 5770 should get around 150Mhash, and everything games will be doable (turn off hardware acceleration in youtube so your I7 handles them).
my Q6600 gets ~3MHash on one core alone, so I could probably manage about 10 even though my CPU is 3 years old. You must be able to get higher than 10 (unless you mean 10 per core)
Anyone selling bitcoins? I need 2.5 but none of the reputable sites accept unverified paypals.

Huh. I'm getting less than a third of what I was getting from BTCGuild in deepbit.net. Any reason why that is?
Yes because nvidia are being huge faggots who wont release opencl drivers.
I'm pretty sure OpenCL drivers exist for NVidia cards plus NVidia has openly said that OpenGL is a decent alternative to using CUDA for GPGPU applications
I'm pretty sure OpenCL drivers exist for NVidia cards plus NVidia has openly said that OpenGL is a decent alternative to using CUDA for GPGPU applications
AFAIK they have OpenCl drivers, they're just not optimized compared to Ati drivers. As Nvidia prefers people to use their own CUDA system.
Deciding to play some of this gambling game: http://bitcat.ch/ Basically its an automated transparent pyramid game with a specific end date. You put coin in, and get you get coin back at whatever the ratio is. So if I deposit 1 BTC I'll get 1.2 BTC back assuming people keep playing the game and adding to the pot. So if the pot is at zero, and I add 1 BTC, it is now at one. If someone else joins and adds 0.2 BTC, that goes into the pot. Since 1.2 BTC is all I need to get a payout, I recieve 1.2 BTC back to my address as my payout. Then the next person, or people, have to put enough in to fill the 0.2 + 20% that the previous person did. Easy wins, and the loser is the person (or people) who put money into the pot but don't have anyone fill in after them to give them their payouts, before the round resets again. I like this one compaired to other pyramid games they have going on because its automated, the ratio is low enough that you can easily make a payout, and the max amount you can put in is low enough to not kill off the game (as people who put in 10BTC will rarely have their payout, preventing people who put in after him from getting payouts as well). And most importantly, its very active so I know I'll not be contributing to a dead pyramid.
Edit: Whoever [pie] kenny was, thanks for the trade!
Interesting graph on the value of bitcoin, and why it shot up to $30 per BTC a month or so ago:

I've got 0.03BTC in BitClockers and aven't run GUIMiner in ages D:

Also the chart proved my guess about my CPUs MHash rate :v:

Fucking Slush DDOS make me split my bitcoins across pools why not.
Does anyone know who is ddosing these pools and why?
Pepper;31027647']Does anyone know who is ddosing these pools and why?
douchebags, and because they don't like bitcoins for whatever reason ALL THE MORE REASON WE NEED TO TEAM UP AND MAKE A FACEPUNCH POOL
douchebags, and because they don't like bitcoins for whatever reason ALL THE MORE REASON WE NEED TO TEAM UP AND MAKE A FACEPUNCH POOL
Implying someone wouldn't abuse it and it wouldn't fall apart within two months
Implying someone wouldn't abuse it and it wouldn't fall apart within two months
how would they abuse it we just automate the pool distribution like they do in slush's and rent some server space in amazon cloud using cards bought with a (very small) pool fee
how would they abuse it we just automate the pool distribution like they do in slush's and rent some server space in amazon cloud using cards bought with a (very small) pool fee
Owner runs away with the first 50 BTC we find. That and there's no incentive for any of us to go on this smaller pool, I doubt there's any invotation you can do that will make it any more attractive than say deep bit.
How many people would use the pool if we had one? I'm considering setting one up with all the automatic payment stuff. rate agree if you would you use it and vice versa
automerge borked?
I'd use it once Bitcoin price goes up, but keep in mind it doesn't really matter how many people use it, it only matters how many hashes you get. I get 310 or so MHashes.
so, if i solo mine, it would take a lot longer but i will get 50 bit coins when finished, could anyone give an approximation on how long it would take on a certain amount of Mhashes?
fucking ages maybe never maybe the minute you start
douchebags, and because they don't like bitcoins for whatever reason
I'm surprised nobody has hit upon the idea that it might be a rival pool with a lot of money (such as deepbit?) hiring DDOSers to take out their competition, so the daily reward for their pool (and to a lesser extent, other pools) would go up. This makes more sense when you consider that as soon as a pool goes down, miners from that pool move to other pools; the hashing power is likely not equally distributed amonst pools equally; most of them probably go to another large pool like BTC guild / deepbit with decent hashrates. If you think about it that way, the pools are like businesses, with the operator acting as the CEO, hiring employees and paying them wages / commissions from the business's earnings. It's not unheard of for a business to want to eliminate it's competition via a merger / other means so they can monopolize the market.
