I've got a 480. I thought this would be a big joke at first, but you can actually get money? How mouch would one get from this? :q:
in all likelihood, not too much, I think a 480 would be somewhere in the 80 Mhash/s range, which won't get you that far. An ATI is better for mining though (not being a fanboy, it's actually true), that might get you a little bit more.
ok one last question and i will shut the fuck up
is there a place where i can get paid with paypal and not some weird thing such as dwolla or liberty reserve that MTGox uses?
I'm mostly doing this just to play around, but if I can generate, let's say a BTC in a week or two, I could basically play WoW for free.

I think it's because ATI cards are built for rendering farms in mind.

Paypal doesn't like bitcoins, it's actually against their EULA or something. You can get paid in Linden dollars and then exchange that on the Linden->USD market though. Or, you'll have to pay a premium to a trader who'll accept paypal.
Traders don't accept it because paypal accepts chargebacks, bitcoins have no chargebacks.

You don't have to have a second life account to trade BTC->Linden->USD too.

one BTC in one week will require some hardware/some luck, but if you could, then yes, you could play WoW for free after you convert the BTC into acceptable currency. Plus, BTC are actually worth quite a bit now with the news of Silk Road and all.

Bitmarket has wire transfers, Bitcoin2Cash sends USD by mail, Bitcoin Market supports Paypal but they're invite-only right now due to a scammer-problem they had.

I'd say 20$ a month minimum.

MtGox doesn't do paypal transfers though. They do actual money transfers.

Mind you, BTC->USD exchange rate is going up pretty high now. By the difficulty change you might actually make something like $30-$50. If it keeps following this trend, and gets a lot of media, BTC-USD could reach $100/BTC.

You could save up for a while, then blow $3k to get a dedicated rig that'll mine at 2.1Ghash/s and get lods of emone

If it does that I'll cry from joy, even though I only have .03 BTC right now. Still, that'd be $3!

I'm trying to save up for another video card.
I'm actually not sure whether or not my slave card is damaged or whether or not it's just bugged. I turned off crossfire and plugged in my second monitor and it had four or so grey-pink lines and a bunch of diagonal red lines.
snip, nevermind
What's the best site for BTC to US bank transfers?

Share estimation, I'd guess. They should be confirmed when the block is done.

In the flags set the application priority with the PRIORITY=100 (lowest), PRIORITY=0 (highest).
