I can easily fill up 500GB due to my habit of keeping media I may one day view again. A digital packrat, if you will.
I have a folder named "Stuff" on my Desktop that's a 142 GB folder.
I enjoy getting into console/PC debates with my friends. Me: Hur, you have to pay for multiplayer. Random But Important To This Quote Guy Number 1: yeah but on pcs you can't get friends and instant message them! My cousin recently got a new computer with all the new shit and all couple of months ago and all he does is playing 2D Games on some crappy website. Edit:
Not really. Knowing computer and knowing grammar :siren::siren:AAAAAAANDDDDDDDDDDD:siren::siren: two very different things.
TYPO TYPO TYPO KILL HIM, GAOIHKETOTEJO
I can easily fill up 500GB due to my habit of keeping media I may one day view again. A digital packrat, if you will.
Same here. I stopped deleting all the files I downloaded because it seems that the ones I deleted, I felt like seeing/playing again. It's like my mind intentionally does it to annoy me.

Like 30GB of the old Hercules show with Kevin Sorbo. Or all of Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis.
My brother has a crapload of viruses, and he thinks it's my computer slowing his down. :sigh:
Well, you did waste money on that 4870 lol
I hate people that get Ghz and GB confused. I can easily live off of 150, maybe less. Who honestly needs 500 GB?
*Raises hand*
This reminds me about what happened not too long ago. A computer illiterate relative of mine bought a Laptop thinking that she got a good deal. Well, heres what she bought: Windows XP Intel Core Duo 1.66GHZ 512MB DDR2 RAM Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 850 Ok, this sounds alright for business. Shouldnt be too expensive... But NO, she buys it for 2,600 FUCKING DOLLARS. (£1,300)
Wow. I just bought a laptop for $640 with these specs Windows Vista (uninstalled and replaced with XP) AMD Dual Core 1.9 ghz 4gb DDR2 RAM (originally 1gb but upgraded) Radeon X1200
or when the say `i bought an amazing new vista laptop and i bought loads of good games like unreal 3 and cod4`
Harddrive Space and RAM. People just don't understand...
OMFG I GOTS 1TB UBER l337 FAST TO THE EXTREM RAMS omgdsakojfs 500GB LOL
Hey dude how much ram do you have? 256 gigabytes. I can play the newest games like Far Cry on all high :c00l: ... :raise:

Tetris 2.0 - now with more water reflections and refractions!
Today I went to my local computer shop to see if they had any decent replacement power supply's and the customer before me had an odd question. "I download music off limewire and it goes to some temporary folder somewhere and it isn't on itunes or my ipod." then the computer store guy asks if it's actually downloaded to that folder or if he put it into the itunes folder, customer says no and they he said getting angrier now "I have enough hard drive memory" This is when I'm starting to see that the customer isn't very computer literate and in the end the customer ends up leaving, infuriated that the clerk couldn't solve his problem for free, without much detail and not even having the computer there. Another one while I was waiting at the bus stop "Yea this guy had a realllly bad virus that kept trying to steal his data, they had to rip the motherboard out and re image it with XP." His exact words. I had to stand up and walk away before I burst out laughing. And the guys at the computer store know me now. because when O went in and asked if they had any power supplys, they asked how many watts and I responded with 600w and at least 36A on the 12v rails for my SLi set-up and they just looked at each other and then told me they didn't have any like that :(.
A while ago, a friend and I were talking on MSN, and all of a sudden his computer started lagging. He blamed it on me/my computer, and blocked me since that moment. He said it was because I had MSN Plus (used it temporarily, don't use it anymore) that made him lag. I facepalmed. Maybe it was for the best anyway. Also, some of these stories in this thread are :v:
wHat. The fuck. Is that shit? :geno:
It's a Vtech computer, everyone used to have one back then
I remember a day at best buy, I wanted to mess with a Geek Squad employee. So I went up to him and asked him if PC26400 RAM would work in a PC2100 slot. He said yes, I walked away laughing. He was probably confused as hell, but this is a good example of why I am glad I know about computers. I can't get screwed over :D
Some friend of mine was buying a gamer-pc, and I recommended him this: A E6600 Core 2 duo He was like: Is that motherboard good?
Seriously.
100 AGREES! :science:
100 AGREES! :science:
99 now, I changed the rating that I gave him to friendly :)
Seriously. Especially with kids at my school unless they know their shit. Like if I tell someone "Hey I got a new computer", they try to act all smart and say "How much hard drive space does it have? :c00l:". I then say 300 gigs is all I need, and they go "HAHA, I have 500 gigs!, you got ripped off!" I can't stand this. I only need 300 gigs. Then I ask them about other hardware, like the video card, and they just go "" and I say, I have a 3870x2, and then they go ":confused:" and just walk away, thinking to them selves that I'm an idiot for buying this computer because it doesn't have as much hard drive space. Why this bothers me: 1. They think I'm an idiot for spending more and not getting as much hard drive space as their 3 year old machine 2. They go around telling people that I'm a computer illiterate moron (EG. "Dude, this guy thinks he got a good computer, but he only got 300 gigs HAHAH!" "REALLY?!" "YEAH" "HAHHA WHAT A MORON")
I can do it, you just have 0 patience.
Yes. This. Is EXTREMELY annoying to me! For example, my uncle bought an computer. Specs in it: Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX Dual core 2.4 GHZ 800GB harddrive 4 GB ram Windows Vista. .. Guess what he does? HE PLAYS CHESS OVER INTERNET WITH IT! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT SHIT!?
Get an old card for 10$, go to your uncle and tell him this one is way better, and tell him you'll give it to him for free if you get to keep his old card.
Get an old card for 10$, go to your uncle and tell him this one is way better, and tell him you'll give it to him for free if you get to keep his old card.
That's just plain rude.
whtf is wrong with yu gusy you got ripped off badly i have 2 terabyte harddrive i can play games the next 10 years ^_^ should run crysis with 60 fps very high
So i had to visit some people that i didn't know and all of the sudden this kid comes up and tells me "Do you wanna use my combuder :c00l:" and i'm like "Sure, i'll take a look." It had Windows 3.11 on it. AND HE WAS SHOWING ME PAINT LIKE ITS SOME SORT OF MAGICAL APPLICATION.
Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer, what's so wrong with that?
Shows how stupid some of the employees are in the Geek Squad, And I remember back in the day when I was a computer idiot and I trusted these guys :( A few friends of mine work there now, I bet the amount of customers at that counter has went up since then.
