I hate people that get Ghz and GB confused. I can easily live off of 150, maybe less. Who honestly needs 500 GB?
I do. But seriously, you buy a hard drive by your needs, not to brag about how much space you have, which most likey you won't use anyway.
Haha christarp i have 1000 gigs. I don't have to deal with morons because everyone in my peer group knows I'm savvy and doesn't question me unless I'm obviously wrong.
Hehe, same.
also what is that Edit: BITCH BROKE MAH AUTOMERGE. :argh:
EVERYONE STOP SAYING BROKE MY AUTOMERGE IT'S ANNOYING. My friend recently got gmod but it would not work because of valves patch. The GMod fix comes out, but he does not bother updating gmod, by NOT RESTARTING STEAM even after I tell him "If you want it to work JUST RESTART STEAM" and he say's NARRR FUCK THAT :)" Thing is he did restart recently and he had the same exaxct problem, maybe he is a willy
What bothers me is when people say Dell computers are the best computers you can get. Then when you say they're wrong, and they try to come back at you with the "Business's use them" kid of junk, you epic lol.
Hahaha, I was playing Age of Conan yesterday and this guy was like "I have 2.4GHz of RAM on my computer" Then everyone in the chat snapped and was telling him he was wrong. He then flipped out thinking he was the genius and tried to teach us it was GHz! Also, I can't live off of 150GB!! I currently have 77GB left on a 291GB Hard drive. :v:
i can't live off of a 250gb hard drive i have to reformat every god damn 3 months because i'm too lazy to defrag/uninstall/delete stuff
You say and speak stupid things. I'm one of the only people who is good at using a computer in my IT class. I AM the only one advanced enough to know programming and have the ability to build a custom rig. It rather annoys me when they speak stupidity. I was in my IT class a few days ago and someone asked: "How do you open the start menu?" I smashed my head on the desk when I heard that. Apparently I have no life according to all of the classes i'm in because I have more free time and I choose to use it to program. I tell them I don't have free time. It's how I get paid!
I'm actually a little more annoyed by you than computer illiterate people. You seem a bit arrogant and pretentious to me. No offense.
Well, there's a reason people make large hard drives, and apparently some people don't understand it. SOME PEOPLE USE A LOT OF SPACE! I personally used to have a 500GB hard drive, it crashed recently because my PSU wasn't putting out enough juice. Now I'm forced to live on my single 320GB hard drive for a while. Of course I can, it's not very hard at all, I just think more space is better. I own a lot of games, and I still play a large amount of them. I know a lot more about computers than any average John Doe, and I do have a hard time translating when talking about computers, but I do enjoy teaching people how a certain piece works, or how software works, etc.
let's go to computer stupidities http://www.rinkworks.com/stupid/
HAHA
Not you guys. The people who buy from dell never need 500 GB. My mom's had her dell with a 40 GB hard drive for 4 years, and she's never had to delete anything.

And you own a dell? And wouldn't consider yourself computer savvy? And don't download/have movies on your hard drive.
You're worse than the computer illiterate people.
I remember a conversation I once had with someone: Guy: hey, I just downloaded a 500gb mod for this game! Me: hmm, I don't think so. Guy: what? why not? it was made by a group of people... Me: You'd need a seperate hard drive just to download it to. Guy: yeah well I do have enough space... *next day* Me: so how's the mod? Guy: it was actually 5gb lol it said 500gb yesterday :downs:
deleted.
people expecting me to fix their computer over the phone, or help them through extremely vague descriptions of their problems: "umm... the monitor, it like, um... my computer doesn't like, you know... work?"
This is REALLY Annoying. I stopped giving over the phone support because of this.
This is REALLY Annoying. I stopped giving over the phone support because of this.
Ugh, I know. I once tried to help a friend who's internet wasn't working over the phone. yey.
You're worse than the computer illiterate people.
Yeah thanks. Every person I've ever met that's bought a dell instead of an HP or whatnot, are the same people that get viruses and such. Some people aren't like that, but I find that a lot of my friends who own a dell are pretty stupid.
I'll admit it, I'm really not that computer literate. I know some stuff, but I highly doubt I could put a whole PC together on my own. I find my area of expertise tends to lean more towards software and software issues than hardware.
It's worse when it's someone who thinks they know stuff about computers because they go into control panel all the time. Someone here installed a XP driver for his CPU, then a few weeks later a new cd/dvd driver (again for XP) and complained after a few days when it wasn't working. HE RUNS VISTA. He didn't even TELL me about the CPU driver :v: Note this was weeks ago, and he still hasn't got it fixed.
Yea, lots of people confuse Ghz with GB. And my mom thinks the pc will run faster if she removes stuff from the HD. Lol...
People who buy amazingly expensive computers just for MSN, web browsing and music. Why oh why?
Just don't talk to them. Or prove you are better than them. I find it amazing that people don't know more than me. I'm reasonably pro, yet i got my first ever computer in 2004. I've learned bloody loads. And i've got pretty damn good in C++ considering i started in 2005.
People who buy amazingly expensive computers just for MSN, web browsing and music. Why oh why?
Because speedy computer = speedy browsing the web. :downs:
This Reminds me of a time someone said "You Should get Vista, It's got more memory" :v:

I own a packard bell. 1994? Still runs. Has a 3GB HDD. So it can't be any good. Except the fantastic 486 and the 3 sticks of PB EDORAM (12MB each)
I can't stand reading people's complaints about talking to computer illiterate people.
I can't stand peoples complaints about peoples complaints about peoples complaints about other peoples complaining about complaints about computer illiterate people
My head :tizzy:

I find my area of expertise tends to lean more towards software and software issues than hardware.
Well, after you put together one computer it's really easy. I got freaked out because my first computer was 1600 hundred dollars. I still have nightmares about pushpins, though.

Except the fantastic 486 and the 3 sticks of PB EDORAM (12MB each)
I used to have a APPLE IIc, it was still running until last year I took apart and threw it away :v: It was actually fun to play David's Midnight Magic Pinball and Spy Hunter on it. Somewhere around 00's we gave it to our little Cousin, then I stayed over for a Vacation and they were getting rid of it, so I thought "meh, I'll take it apart".
i have a gig
