I can't stand talking to computer illiterate people about computers.

I've got DOS.
Alienware has a 2 Terabyte PC, along with the option to buy another 2tb of space in an external drive. In total, 4000gb.

So? I could stick like 10TB into a computer if I had enough Sata Controllers.
What annoys me are the people who say 'download' in place of every single computer term. Like they 'download' the movie into movie maker, or they 'download' the program from the install cd. Fucking hell, it's annoying.
And also when people say MP3 instead of MP3 PLAYER. No, you can't plug your MP3 into your car, they're not tangible things you can plug! Grr, makes me angry.
I can't stand people who believe spouting off arbitrary model numbers and brand names passes as computer literacy.
There is a idiot in my class that thinks 200 MHz is better than 3 GHz.
:D

Neeerd raaaage!!!
THAC0 reduced by 2, AC increased by 5 and all hits deal maximum damage for one turn.
I own a packard bell. 1994?
Still runs.
Has a 3GB HDD. So it can't be any good. Except the fantastic 486 and the 3 sticks of PB EDORAM (12MB each)
Take the B out of that and you get PEDORAM!
(Couldn't resist)
My favorite thing to do is ask what kind of computer someone has. "Dur, It's an XP". Never gets old.
I used to have a APPLE IIc, it was still running until last year I took apart and threw it away :v:
It was actually fun to play David's Midnight Magic Pinball and Spy Hunter on it.
Somewhere around 00's we gave it to our little Cousin, then I stayed over for a Vacation and they were getting rid of it, so I thought "meh, I'll take it apart".
Had an IIc way back in the day. I also have one of the original PORTABLE laptops ever made. Doesn't have an actual harddrive, it used 2 floppy disks (Note, Disks. Not diskettes). 1 for OS, another for data you wish to load/save.
It served the last days of it's life being my notepad for:
1: School. People would look at me all weird with huge laptop that had no other purposes other than Wordperfect.
2: Parents. Went out, I put the clunker down on the table. Left it attached to it's power brick and they didn't bother moving it.
I did want to get one of the Compaq laptops. They weren't really LAPTOPS. Unless you had legs of steel.

I got someone asking me "which is better 2000MHZ or 2 ghz?"
I have this friend. He's an alright guy but pretty ignorant with computers. Once I was telling him to get get Oblivion and said, "Are you sure this will run on your PC". To which he replies,
"Yeah, because it's a new Dell"
"What are it's specs"
"Umm... Windows 2000"
I could have almost slammed my head on the desk.

Lies! Oblivion came out in 2006, and if it was a new Dell then it would have had XP on it!
I only have 74 GB and I think this is more than enough already! What buffoons those guys are.
[editline]~Kiwi~v2[/editline]
I'm sorry Kiwi you are not a buffoon nor are anyone else who had more than 74GB space.

It's nice to have more if you want to install several operating systems.
There was one child in my school who was bragging about his new PC, I asked what graphics card he had and he said that he'd downloaded the latest one.
I facepalmed so hard my face imploded.
I can type quicker than anyone else in my school, frankly I'm a god to the juniors and a know it all and super technician about anything, the teacher once asked *Why isn't this damn video streaming!* everyone pointed at me "HE KNOWS!" I said *maybe...press the play button? :downs:*
"Oh...right!" :v:
I hate people that get Ghz and GB confused.
I can easily live off of 150, maybe less.
Who honestly needs 500 GB?
People who play lots of games/watch movies on their PC.
I need 500GB.
I have 520gb, spread over 2 200gb and 1 120gb hard drives that I carried over from my old computers.

:(
my pc has windows xp and 40 gb processor
I have 1 friend who plays for money
I have alot more that know so much about Computer hardware and software that we could together build the best network ever!
Anyway, I am the only one at school that really codes and maps in my free time.
Also, Our school has an Anual Lan-Party At school organized by students for students with the help of the ICT teacher.
Also, There is this one guy that spends his whole day on an Internet Forum, never goes outside, doesn't workout and calls me a Nerd for knowing almost all the DOS commands.
I also have a few friends that Clock their hardware for Money.
Awesome school I have!
Next year We're getting 3 electronic school boards, 200 more pc's (we already have like 300) and 2 extra ICT classrooms plus a large Computer Library thing.
/bragmode
Also, the reason I have a 500GB harddrive is because my 80GB was full and I needed a new one (I don't like to throw stuff away, I might need it again someday)

Well you can't expect people who are ignorant with computers to know all the system specifications. You should have asked for the computers type and model and look it up, then tell him wether he can run it or not.
People who play lots of games/watch movies on their PC.
"640K ought to be enough for anybody"
"So, you got a new computer?"
"Yeah, it's brand new!"
"Cool! What are the specs?"
"Um, it's a laptop... with Vista..."
Which is better than most people, granted, but still.
I got someone asking me "which is better 2000MHZ or 2 ghz?"
How did you respond?
Me too. Let's be friends :)
Man, my school is funny. There is only around 15 people in the entire school doing IT Gcse (one of which being me) and I'm pretty sure half of us know more than the IT teacher and technicains whos only way of fixing a broken computer is "Leave it like that for several months and hope it restores itself" The other half of my class are inbred retards who "want to haxz cos its wikid an I'm so l33t i googles the word hack" who only chose IT because they thought it'd be a dos lesson.
My GCSE IT teacher for the first year (They didn't renew his contract because he was shit) gave all the people in my class who didn't have them copies of excel and access he had downloaded of limewire.
Also I find it interesting how people are like "OH MY GOD VISTA IS HORRENDOUS I HEARD SO I WILL SEND IT TO A SPECIALIST WHO CHARGES £200 AN HOUR TO INSTALL WINDOES EX PEE"
Our IT guy can install Vista himself, and he did on his cool pc.
He also installs Game Servers for the schools lan party.
hese the best!
