You may have forgotten to save the changes or the BIOS could recognize your flash drive as a hard drive instead of a USB device.

Nope, saved it many times on all USB labeled options, never booted up Mint, any other ideas?

Try formatting the flash drive to FAT32 and reinstalling the files on the flash drive.

But when I tried to do it manually it said there were important system files on it (Not from mint) so I don't know what harm would happen to the school stuff on it since the system files were in my school files.
There's no way in hell you have "important system flies" on a damn flash drive. Format that bitch and install Mint already.

I am not lying, when I tried to delete everythimng from it I got a message saying if I wanted to delete so and so, I said no because it said it could affect the functionality of the USB.

So you guys know, the only available USB options in the BIOS for me is USB Device and USB CD-ROM, neither worked.
usually you get prompted near the bottom of the screen during POST about F12 bringing up a Boot Menu. Do that, and the USB drive will usually show up under Harddisk instead of Removable. Why, I'm not sure... but my PC does exactly that.

POST? I use F12 to get to my BIOS and other things but what is POST?
I once had a similar problem with a new USB stick.
The problem was that for some reason, Unetbootin, didn't install a boot loader on the sticks so when I booted to the stick, it didn't find a boot loader and skipped to the next device on the list, my hard drive.

I said already that I got to my boot menu and it's what I use to get to my BIOS. I tried all items in the boot menu list and then from the boot menu in BIOS, no luck.
Anyone? I want to try it again but no luck.
