GTA IV on a MacBook? That must have been painful. Though I still can't decide on which version to get. 2.26GHz, 250GB HDD, 2GB RAM for ~£800 or 2.53GHz, 250GB HDD, 4GB RAM for ~£980 Sure a little more speed is good, but is 30 more points in speedmark 5 and a few seconds in CS4 really worth £180?On the otherhand it won't take 4 days to ship. Hmm.
Stop posting I'm crying :saddowns: You should get the top one. It doesn't make too much of a difference.
I got the late 2008 13" MacBook (first unibody available/before 13" MBP) and it's the lower end model, with the 2.0ghz, cpu and it's great. I upgraded the ram to 4gb and kept the 160gb hard drive inside. The newer unibody 13" MBP are much faster than mine and mine runs all my games great, the most demanding games I play are the STALKER series and they run on medium/high @ 1280x800 with a average fps of 70fps. They're great little machine  EDIT: get the higher end model so you won't need to upgrade for a while since it has the 2.53ghz cpu (I'm jealous already) and I have 4gb which is a must if you plan on doing some gaming ,even if it's light gaming you won't regret it. The only thing I regret is not paying for the 2.4ghz cpu when I got mine :frown:
I wouldn't worry about harddrives. If it's over 150 GB then you won't have any issues. People seem to have forgotten how much a GB is now, with all the 160 GB Ipods. I have a good deal of stuff on my computer, and it's shared but It's only used up under 60 GB. If I were you I would wait till windows 7 comes out. It kicks ass, so I've herd.
if you partition the hard drive for boot camp if you plan on gaming a bigger hard drive is better. I split my hard drive to 80gb Mac OS X and 80gb Windows XP, Mac OS X only have 43gb left and Windows XP has only 23gb. I know it seems like a lot to some people, but to me it seems like an upgrade is needed in the future... or building a low budget gaming PC...
I have a gaming PC, I already have Windows 7 on my other laptop, and I'm not really planning to dual boot, I think I'll skip gaming on the Mac. I think I'll save the cash and get the 2.2GHz version, I can't see myself needing more in a laptop to be honest.
you mean the 2.26ghz version?

Should I get AppleCare for £46? Seems worth it for the extra 2 years of accidental damage cover.

Welp, either way, I've gone an ordered the entry model.
