I really, really wish NESoid didn't have texture filtering. It looks awful on small screens. [editline]9th September 2012[/editline] Tested on a Kindle Fire running CM10 and a Toshiba Thrive running ICS, enabling Force GPU Rendering seems to improve N64oid performance. Unfortunately, that suggests it does indeed use a software rendering agent.
Does anyone have some fun games / emulators that work well with a 3,5 inch screen with a Adreno 200 GPU?
Does anyone have some fun games / emulators that work well with a 3,5 inch screen with a Adreno 200 GPU?
Check the OP :v: The platforms with 2D games should run fine via emulators.
Check the OP :v: The platforms with 2D games should run fine via emulators.
Already checked it but couldn't really find anything I'd like. [editline]9th September 2012[/editline] Found some good games that will run on low end devices, these are great. 1. Call of the mini : Zombies 2. WhipeOut Dash 3. Space shooter for Free These are all free.
There was something disturbingly familiar about the letter before me. The handwriting was all pretty curves. "You are in an Android app, Max." The truth was a burning green crack through my brain. Finger smudges hanging in the air out of the corner of my eye. Endless repetition of tapping to shoot, time slowing down to show off my moves. The empty feeling of force closing. I was in an Android app. Funny as hell, it was the most [del]horrible[/del] wonderful thing I can think of.
Dude what?
did you get Max Payne working on an Android thing or
No I got to the "You're in a Computer Game, Max" part in Max Payne Mobile so I felt inspired :v: [editline]10th September 2012[/editline]
did you get Max Payne working on an Android thing or
Max Payne Mobile. It's in the OP.
I don't mean to advertise so much, but I figure this app would actually be handy for you guys. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameshelf.gameshelf <3
Minecraft Pocket Edition runs really well, even on fancy graphics. I am quite surprised. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameshelf.gameshelf <3
Would it be possible to select what directory the ROMs are in? That'd certainly make things more flexible.
I wish Minecraft PE had internet servers
I wish Minecraft PE had internet servers
It has multiplayer over LAN currently, and it actually works really well. I'm sure you could get it working with a VPN or something.
Anyone else getting the Ouya?
Anyone else getting the Ouya?
It sounds too good to be true TBH; i'll wait for it to be released.
It sounds too good to be true TBH; i'll wait for it to be released.
How so? $100 is actually a reasonable price for that. A huge part of the cost of tablets and smart phones are actually the touch screens.
Games I absolutely recommend: Hard Lines Spirit HD Organ Trail EDGE EDGE Extended
What would be the best 10.whatever inch tablet for running games and emulators I mostly plan to use it for emulators (PSX and maybe N64) I'd like it to support sixaxis and expandable memory is a plus

However, you'll have to settle with Tegra 2 and extremely slow updates. Otherwise, find a Tegra 3 tablet to go with.
A Chinese company made the "Droid X360", which is basically a PS Vita control and screen layout with Android hardware. It runs ICS, and comes preloaded with Emulators. It's specs are similar to that of the Xperia Play's. I'd get it. http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/24/droid-x360-goes-for-the-kirf-prize/ $120 here: http://www.ecrater.com/p/15557424/game-tablet-pc-5-inch-capacitive?gps=1

Is it unlocked and pre-rooted like most Chinese Android devices? [editline]24th September 2012[/editline] Allwinner A10, nevermind it's pretty much open and pre-rooted. Only a few driver blobs for ordinary Linux distro's are missing, but that's it.

I'm sure there are plenty of reviews out there for it. The first link has a video of someone playing various emulators on it, including N64oid and SNESoid in addition to games like Fruit Ninja and they appeared to run smoothly.

I already own a Allwinner A10 device with same performance specs, so I know what it can handle.
More concerned about build quality, especially the joysticks and screen. I already own a Allwinner A10 device with same performance specs, so I know what it can handle.
That much I cannot tell you, but the guy in the video didn't seem like the gentle type :v: [editline].[/editline] Found a nice review. Apparently the build quality is really nice, the "analog" sticks are actually digital sticks (like the Xperia Play), and it even comes with a mini to full sized HDMI cable. It has a front facing and back facing camera, and even has a MicroSD card slot. The screen and accelerometer are evidently quite responsive. Pretty darn cool. However, he mentions the controls are stiff, but I imagine those would loosen up after regular use, or you'd simply get used to it. I personally believe he was overly tough on the controls. As you might of guessed already ,the clock speed is 1Ghz and not 1.5Ghz. The guy playing in the engadget video seemed to have no trouble with his games. It's possible that they have fixed the contact issues by now, however.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/df-hardware-droid-x360-review
While the arrangement of the controls is copied almost exactly from the Vita, the user experience afforded by them is vastly different. The d-pad and buttons have far too much travel on them, meaning that you really have to press down hard to register an input. This essentially makes precise control impossible, as quick presses are usually ignored by the system. At first, we assumed this was a software problem, but internal inspection reveals that the contact pads on the circuit board are too far away from the buttons.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/df-hardware-droid-x360-review
That's disappointing. I was hoping so very much for it to be decent.
Which would be more suitable for emulation, the PSP GO, or the PSP 2000, it's been a while since I had a PSP which I could use to emulate shit.
Which would be more suitable for emulation, the PSP GO, or the PSP 2000, it's been a while since I had a PSP which I could use to emulate shit.
Both of them have really bad specs and you'd be lucky to emulate anything better than the NES with it. That said, go with whichever one has better homebrew support. They both have the same processor and amount of RAM.
