Don't know if its been mentioned yet, but couldn't someone compile an .exe with 42.zip so it extracts all the layers of it and just make up a good story behind it? It wouldn't fail as easily then. Make it "install" to some obscure place on his HDD.
I hope that you do know that with mostly any programming language you can create a file of any size. No need for that 42.zip file.
How many times do I have to say it. It's not fucking magic.
How compressed files work is very simple. Let's say you have a file that has "AAAAABBBB" as it's content. When compressed the zip file will instead of listing all the As and Bs will simply contains the number of As ans Bs. (or 5A4B) This is not fully true in terms of how numbers and characters are represented but it will do for this example.
If someone were to make a single huge file that contains an incredible amount of As (only As) this file would be extremely small when compressed because the zip files simply contains contain the number of As (something in the lines of 9999999999999999999999999999999999A. So the compressed file is small but when uncompressed it becomes huge.
So I come in and see 200 or so posts, but what ever happened to the stupid youtube faggot and his "SUPER HAXXOR ABILUTTIEZ" and 42.zip? Also I might do 42.zip on my laptop and record it for lulz.
One of the best experiences I've ever had with an illiterate was with an Amish guy. He called up with a tech question about his flash drive. He said that he kept putting files and files onto it, and yet it wasn't getting any heavier.

Graphics lab at my school got new iMacs
The power button is so flat and blended in that I slid right over it, had to get up and visibly see it to turn the damn thing on.
also dual booting on iMacs is horrible.

My friend's grandpa bought a mac. We couldn't figure out how to turn it on.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying to find. It does fit with the "macs are sleek" thing though.
What if:
The pc he's using at the time of the impending incident is his dads, with a large amount of rare unforgivable porn on it.
The drive needs to be wiped, dad gets angry.
Boy is banned from the pc.

What if his parents use it for work and they have to wipe it?

I currently cannot until I get my spare hard drive working.

Even having a flash drive in their possession to begin with is pretty advanced for Mennonites. They use propane refrigerators, for fuck's sake.
YumYum's µATX mobo got no criticism and it was motherfuckin tiny as well :v:
i feel like i should say something witty
in an unrelated note, my grandpa thinks that you can fry/seriously damage your graphics card if you plug/unplug video cables to/from the gpu when it's on (note he's built over a dozen computers and put together a pretty good i7 build himself)
Come on people. 234 posts? really?

don't bother reading any of it, it's just a whole bunch of idiots trying to mess with a 12 year old
So if I connect a DVI cable to my GTX275, it explodes in an electric storm? :colbert:
Usually no, but you know, when you don't plug/unplug it solidly, when few pins remains plugged and others not. You got what I'm trying to say. Still dangerous
Usually no, but you know, when you don't plug/unplug it solidly, when few pins remains plugged and others not. You got what I'm trying to say. Still dangerous
It's not dangerous. If you leave a few pins unplugged it wont work, it's not gonna short out anything. It's just gonna not work or you will lose maybe a color or something. It's not dangerous, There is not enough voltage going through that thing to actually do anything, Hell even if 2 pins are right next to each other there is not enough power to arc between the 2.

Exactly. Even if you short-wire some of the pins, it'll do nothing but probably fuck up the colours, or make the graphic card power off temporarily.

If anything.

This is what happens when you post upgrade requests in the Tech Support forum. You get bottom of the barrel quality responses.

Is that guy serious? I can't possibly imagine anyone that stupid trying to upgrade a computer...
He'll probably damage the CPU trying to put it in anyways.

Punctuation goes in the quotes.
"Also, you can't spell 'unique,' or 'listen.' You're an idiot."

Exactly. As I've said before, if I remember correctly, I am 12 and, whilst a lot of 12 year olds are complete and total idiots, not all of them are.
So we've got shitty Australian Internet right, from the olden days. Broadband, 10gb cap, no offpeak, etc. For a few years ago, this was fine, but since around 2007 our internet has started to catch up, slowly, ever so slowly, to other countries. National Broadband network will be great. Anyway, we cap every month, around the 15th, resetting on the 24th, just through browsing sites. So I ask my parents what's stopping us from upgrading it:
First reason - Oh, we pay for it with our phone bill so its cheaper!
So I went and got our last bill - $100. $40 for the phone, $60 for the internet.
Look up an ISP, we could switch over our internet service, pay $20 less and have ADSL2+ with a 140gb cap. I tell her this.
But we'd have to buy a new computer!
Uh, no.
But I like our current provider's service!
Our current provider's service has been one of two things - an Indian call center, or a bad-mannered Australian IT guy who doesn't know anything.
My face rocketed into the sun.
Holy shit its that $100 monthly? I pay £17 for uncapped broadband and phone (that includes line rental)

The older imac power buttons beveled in slightly so you could find them :(
I still hate them.

Yeah, internet's shit here. But hopefully the national broadband plan will actually give us reasonable pings (Wow, not 250ms to america, That's a big fucking change) only real good ISP is TPG and thats only for their internet access, everything else is incredibly overpriced. Example. Webhosting. I shit you not for 500mb it's $3000AUD a year.
You also goto count in domain name hosting and setup.

See for yourself, Then you have to pay extra's It's insane.
