Windows '95 install dicks? I didn't know microsoft was in the porn business.
This gives a whole new meaning to hard drives... [editline]09:24PM[/editline] haaaaaarrrd drives...
Bigger hard drives made floppy dicks obsolete.
So my friend had this great idea...about how to make a different type of laptop...So he drew up some "specifications" and sent them to me in a .pdf.
So, wait, why is there a pair of rocket boards in the upper left hand corner? I'd buy his crazy transforming laptop. Mine can't even turn into a sled.
So my friend had this great idea (read: I had a great idea and he took it as his own) about how to make a different type of laptop that would give it all the benefits of a desktop and a laptop at the same time. So he drew up some "specifications" and sent them to me in a .pdf. [img_thumb]http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/8153/viewerv.png[/img_thumb] [editline]02:12PM[/editline] Note that he is trying to get a patent on this. [editline]02:12PM[/editline] This was my idea and I still don't know what is going on.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_computer is this what he's trying to invent?
Not sure if a Pentium 4 comes under that category, but I was taking apart an old Dell a couple of years ago, and the CPU in that was really flimsy and (I didn't check to see) would probably fall out if it was turned upside-down.
My old P4 had a socket lock. It wasn't like the 775, where a piece of metal covers all but the centre of the chip, but there was still a locking lever to keep the CPU in the socket. The CPU is easy to remove, it's the damned heatsink, especially in older computers (Pre-socket 775), that's a bitch to get off/on.
Slot cpus had the easiest coolers to get on and off
The 370s yes, the heatsink practically sprang off, but the 478s with the 4 hooks were annoying, 2 would come off easy, the other 2 took some jimmying. Both sockets were a bitch to get on though. They still weren't as hard as I thought I remembered them being when I wrote that, though. I thought they were as hard to get on as they were to get off for some reason. Also, I mistook the 478 for the 370 twice while writing this post. I feel retarded now.
My computer is only slightly better than the average Steam user. :saddowns:.
Hey where do i check that?

What the hell, eight pages of people trolling that hacker kid? ...I am pleased.
Mine does. I work in a charity shop at the moment, we had some guy hand in Windows '95 install dicks, a disk for Encarta from '99 and a copy of Warhawk for the playstation, I chucked the rest out and took Warhawk for myself, it's in perfect condition with the manual and everything. :buddy:
Holy fuck, I remember Encarta (I think I still have a copy somewhere, came with Windows 98). 3D Maze evvyday
Dude, I have an unopened copy of Windows 95 in my desk

Me and a pal had nothing to do one Computer Science hour, since we managed (by mistake) to pick the fastest PC the school has. Seriously, we would've been half done with our assignments before the others had booted up if the teacher didn't want everyone to move at the same pace (and these PCs were running xUbuntu...). Anyway. I fiddled with some php, and we were generally just slacking off. Then, we get this idea. "dude, let's get windows 98 going on this mo'fucker." After *ahem* "acquiring" a CD with Win98SE on it, we stuffed it into the computer. And quickly realized what we had done. You can't install Win98 on a partition if it's not first on the HDD. We had made a 10 GiB FAT partition in the end of the HDD for this occasion, but Windows tried desperately to nom up our 16 GiB ext3 partition and assimilate it. We started panicking, afraid that it would decide to just wipe the drive because of all the "junk" on there. Luckily we managed to getting it to stop by way of a hard shutdown and a paperclip.
Ok, my friend on Steam just launched GTA IV, so i said "Cool, i'm downloading that now. Just afraid that its going to run at 25fps on my pc". Him: Yeah, I can run it on the highest settings, its pretty nice. Me: Really? What are your specs? Him: I don't really know, i think it's a single core and 2x ATi 9600's Me: A single core on the highest settings? Are you sure you mean ati 9600 series, and not nvidia 9600 gt's? Him: I don't know.. i'll run requirements lab now. After some time.. Him: Oh, haha its actually a quad core. Him: And my graphics cards are Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT+ ATI Radeon X1900 Him: Does that make more sense? Me: Yeah, it'll be the quad core helping you out for the highest settings. Him: the one i bought this computer from tolld me there was a 2x 9600 series on it Him: he computer cost me 2500 pounds....no im not from england, but 1 pound is the same as 10 Norwegian KR Me: wat
Me: wat
He's Norwegian? Then it doesn't matter, they've got so much oil money they could throw it around on the streets.
i hope that kid is a troll
Oh god I hate people that automatically assume Norton is amazing. Like my friend at school, told me that another friend has Norton and that it's great so he'll never get viruses (the other friend reckons he's a l33t hack0r). I walked up to the guy next time I saw him, did an amazing fake laugh and shouted 'THIS GUY USES NORTON!'. A couple of slightly literate people grinned, but I got odd stares from other people. :colbert: [editline]12:18AM[/editline]
i hope that kid is a troll
i see what you did there. i wish i quoted you earlier.
Oh by the way that retard dosent know that just opening his .bat in notepad will give me all the code
the video is zoomed out cause i dont want anyone to steal my code i lol'd so hard and isnt it illegal to distribute .bat files? i think it is [editline]03:36PM[/editline]
Holy fuck, I remember Encarta (I think I still have a copy somewhere, came with Windows 98). 3D Maze evvyday
encarta...hmm.. that sounds familiar a dictionary made by microsoft?
Illegal to distribute malicious code, which he has on his Windows Live SkyDrive.
wow you must be the coolest person in your school.
Soon to be the coolest person in college. It was nearing the end of the year, if you don't do something to make a tit of yourself at the end of high school, there's no point living.
Oh god. Now that I've got Java and am teaching 3D I'm seeing retarded all over the place. Today some angsty kid in my Java class jumped the "Vista's terrible" bandwagon, and then said "linux is amazing you should install it" to the teacher. She pretty much said she doesn't give a shit and I countered with Vista being fine. He gave no reasons that it was bad. The geek squad shirt and picture in his binder sleeve with an unfunny angst atheist religous joke prevented me from taking him seriously. Also some other kid in my 3D class tried to put an SSD in his iMac and "fried the sensors." He says the fans will no longer work automatically and he has to start them manually. I bet the most that kid has ever done with linux is put ubuntu in a dual boot and then get bored with it. For some reason people seem to think that hearing "linux is good" makes them be a computer expert for repeating the phrase.
you know, we could just make him rundll32 mouse.disable
