SSDs are basically just that. Only they are much slower because it's really expensive to develop technology that fast AND that big.
Same reason why anything above a 4GB stick of ram costs a fortune.

Wrong type of memory, flash is cheap and slow compared to volatile ram.
They don't even make consumer ram larger then 4GB currently.
[img_thumb]http://gadgetophilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/usb-flash-drive.jpg[/img_thumb] is very different then [img_thumb]http://www.itechnews.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/transcend-ddr3-dimm-module.jpg[/img_thumb]
it's MB/s and you have a shitty hard drive if 40 MB/s is as fast as it can write
Interesting, on a side note I just bought an Xbox original with 17 games from ebay, plan to install the Linux media centre on it for optimum awesomeness.

Is it one of the early ones with space for an extra 64MB of ram? Makes custom stuff run much better.
Rate me dumb, but is there an actual data transfer rate on ram?
yeah but the difference between different dimms so minuscule you may as well ignore it now.
My mom seems to think she can find anything on my PC legally, like my passwords. I save NO passwords to my laptop. Or find my email. She can't do that either, I always run Private Browsing for that very reason. She just said to me, " I just have to take it to the computer guy and he'll find it for me." I'm like "What the hell?"
What the hell is a 105 error and why am I getting them constantly, I can't even look the bloody thing up.

Try getting new IP settings for your router.
Most old people I know make a mental comparison to a record with optical media. I've never seen someone who thought they needed rewinding. One who thought slowing down the video from a DVD meant making the DVD itself rotate slower, but that's just funny.
You need one of these man

Do you mean local addresses? Because turning it off and on to renew the WAN IP doesn't do anything.
I believe I am allowed to use whatever abbreviation I want.
No you can't.
MB = Megabyte
Mb = Megabit
There's a difference.

Right click your Internet connecting thing in the Taskbar then try to fix.
You know what, just tell me what the 105 error is thanks.

I don't think you can delete it straight from Explorer, but if you do I believe your computer would not boot.
Rate me dumb but What would happen if I deleted system32 cause I almost pressed delete. Its so tempting :hurr:
Windows will prevent you from doing so.

Usually that means a DNS error. Call your ISP and fuss at them.
Usually that means a DNS error. Call your ISP and fuss at them.
I'm using google DNS though.
Then change it back to use the DNS your ISP gives you. Although I highly doubt it, your ISP may be blocking other DNS services.
No you can't.

I'm sorry I thought I could post whatever I wanted and use whatever language I wanted because this is the internet and their are no set rules. I am still going to use Meg/s

Sounds like, easy money.
Not if you do it from Linux. :v:

If you're on windows 7, it'll ask you to do a recovery once you start up.
In class, we spent 2 days trying to destroy a clean windows 7 installation by deleting system files. We couldn't, not even with the "godmode control panel"
