There is this one teacher in my school who repairs the notebooks and does networking and each exam they are basically turning off the Internet which basically fucks up the network for about 5 days, and one day I asked the teacher why they don't just turn off the main router when we have exams and type at the notebook. Then he suddenly shouts at me and says: It really hard to turn off the Internet you don't know anything about networking. The guys who work there are such idiots really Computer illiterate(BTW: Its kinda hard for me to explain story's in other languages.)
Kid earlier asked me where he can go to download a Graphics Card.
Maybe he meant gpu drivers.

Maybe he's looking at the processes.
Anyone can edit Wikipedia...FFFFFFFFF
This is pretty much source illiteracy. I understand a grand total of none of you are involved in any form of writing that requires citations on a regular basis, but here's the deal: -Wikipedia's content is written primarily by and for schmucks, which means the majority of information it contains is of For Dummies quality. As a result you can spot people who used it because their work reads like a simplification of a simplification. It's lazy. Find your own information and synthesize it yourself. -Wikipedia has been documented containing plagiarized or false content for extended periods and has yet to go a year without a major case of both. Reverting doesn't mean shit- if at any moment the information on a page could be false, it's a rubbish source. -No accountability for accuracy = no accuracy. A real source makes a mistake, the guy who made it could very well get fired. Wikipedians make a mistake, and nothing happens.
I once told a teacher that the people who moderate the site will change anything false back to what it was before or delete it
-The admins and moderators performing those edits are ugly wangsty camwhoring teenagers with absolutely no education. Seriously. You're telling me you trust folks like that with anything? I wouldn't trust that breed of asshat with a stapler.
Another off topic question, how can I convert a gif into an APNG. Google is being fucking useless and giving me 20 minutes worth of unrelated bullshit.
:words:
so unreliable right and you do know the system they use for checking edits right? it's extremely fucking efficient, especially when hundreds of people are monitoring it [editline]10:32PM[/editline] not trying to start shit but if you can't trust Wikipedia when it outright quotes from other renowned sources you might as well not use sources
i wouldn't trust that breed of asshat with a stapler.
that made me laugh
Offhand note, can someone tell me how to convert an .avi to a .gif? I've check google and everyone automatically assumes I have photoshit. Or an animated PNG? That would help too.
there's a thread in CC where people will make you an avatar of anything in any format, if you want. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=972130 also, hey everybody sorry I've been absent from this thread. Still lurk, just haven't had content.

I guess I wasted an a few hours trying to make it myself.
My friend called me at 4AM yesterday asking for me to come over and install a game he pirated :v:
My friend called me at 4AM yesterday asking for me to come over and install a game he pirated :v:
Funny part is where?
Well, I guess A.Couldnt figure out how to install a game and B. He wanted me to do it at such an insane hour. It really wasn't funny, it actually pissed me off.
So what is the new postlimit? I need me a V6 with nice delicious content. Contribution: One day me and my freind where talking about his new PC build when a guy came by claining you would need a crane to lift magnets (or some shit) in order to build a computer.
Is anyone else sick of the crappy videos they make you watch in High School IT classes? It all just tries to make you scared. The video today said that you will become infected with VIRAZEZ!!! in the first 2 minutes of plugging your modem in and connecting

I encountered a guy in APB yesterday who was repeatedly accusing me of aimbotting, saying how he and all his little friends were going to get me IP banned. So I started telling him how IP bans don't mean that much to me seeing as I can change my IP at will by just restarting my router, that I had a dynamic IP not a static one. He seemed convinced that there was no such thing as a dynamic IP and that everyone had a static one. Apparently he works with computers every day and has an education v:v:v
technically, passing year 1 is an education. I mean, you've been to school.
technically, passing year 1 is an education. I mean, you've been to school.
Can you even get a diploma after that?
He has been educated. Not to that level, but he still has an "education". I was referring to the guy in Dashiel's post
I learnt about insert in 1st grade, where the hell did you go to school?
It wasn't very important for the teachers to learn us about what the button we shouldn't use, did.
My school library has computers and everyone was downloading all these internet browser stuffs. Then when I downloaded the Firefox Beta4b. The librarian came and said 'why did you download that MODZILLA Firefox? It spoils the computer, can't you see how slow the computer here are?' I kept quiet because I didn't know what to say, if I laughed she'll kick me out of the library. Then I realized the best thing about my school. They have one wired LAN router, the other a Wireless router/modem combo(they didn't bother to protect it with password so free internet for us). That small firewall thing for internet protection. And every computer owned by the school MUST be protected by Norton. My school is a no.1 Norton supporter.

I seriously don't understand why just about every single illeterate seems to think "Modzilla" (I've heard that a good plenty of times to" is some kind of evil destructive piece of software that is destined to ruin everything. I guess I'm lucky since my school's IT staff actively encourage the use of other browsers, having Firefox and Opera installed and configured on every computer and are willing to help for other browsers.
It's funny, my ISP has static IPs ONLY :v: Im happy, since i have a server

This guy on XBL joins mine and my friend's party. He's panicked and angsty and is rambling on about random shit. Apparently, he was on his step-dad's computer and was watching porn and now he can't clear the history. He went on about how he usually just used CC Cleaner to clear the history on IE. At this point, I muted him. My friends keep talking to him and I got tired of only hearing their replies. I go and unmute him. Immediately I hear him say "The cookies are locked somehow! I just got my mom's computer and I put up the AT&T website and refreshed them both. The cookies must be locked! How do I unlock the cookies?"
