Does anyone else hate it when the term "lag" is used anywhere else except for issues with latency? during cs 1.4-1.6, that's all i remember it was used for....

I know it's wrong, but I don't have a better word for framerate issues.

I use laggy for low frames per second, it just seems good. Choppy is what I should use.

it's really bad in garry's mod. he's saying when people with like 600 ping join a server and everyone is like OMG YOU ARE MAKING THE SERVER LAG GTFO

my dad gave me his bosses sisters laptop to work on she took it to a computer repair store and paid 40 bucks for them to tell her that she doesnt have enough ram and her harddrive is corrupted AND then the store wanted $300 to replace the hdd/reinstall the os and add 512mb of ram

I'm sick of stores that say 1gb Nvidia, or ATI Graphics, they never mention the model... I saw a graphics card, it said 1gb graphics, and I'm saying "Its probably pretty good" I look, DXDiag, it's a NVIDIA 310M/220GT, then I just go, why are they making us buy this stuff?

I heard a radio ad today for doublemyspeed.com (screw being stuck driving for 2 hours) and apparently your computer can be infected with spam and popups. Isn't that just bad email management and use of IE? Then there's the TV commercials. The lady's computer flashes between 3 different screens before it finally bluescreens, and all when she's looking through her email.

For now he has a 1mbit connection before 20mbit's fully rolled in (Well we think, either way right now he's getting 1mbit), And even going on google maps for him was... hilarious. He was like an amish, The speeds for me were really irritating (full 20mbit, things are usually already loaded within the millisecond) But he was jumping all around the room going "WOW IT'S SO FAST", Oh god it was fucking hilarious.

What drives me mad is people who assume that if someone starts using your account on a network and you're already logged in then everything the hacker does shows up on your screen. :downs:
