i certainly can't take you seriously with that avatar
Why the fuck should an avatar deal with the quality of the person or their comments?
Thats like saying you can't trust a black man alone in one room at your house because he's black.
are you implying being black is a choice
[editline]11:55PM[/editline]
because it isn't

Wow really????
All this time I thought that silly people just use a permanent marker!
Shows how little I know.
I like how the thread was derailed.
If i'm 35 years old and wear a tellatubby suit for holloween-
nevermind ill stay the fuck out of it
To re-rail the shitstorm.
A steam friend asked me what computer to buy.
Apparently Compaq's have many software and hardware vulnerabilities because a guy on Yahoo answers said so.
It also took me 10 minutes of asking to find out if he wanted if he wanted to buy a prebult with integrated graphics or to buy a separate card.
Father Communism: I'm asking are you going to buying it with a gpu or not
{DST}{SK}Fnd.Georgester44: oh no im not like modding it or anythin
Father Communism: puttting in a gpu isn't really modding
[editline]12:25AM[/editline]
Father Communism: also how are they easy to hack?
{DST}{SK}Fnd.Georgester44: cuz they dont have much protection on it
{DST}{SK}Fnd.Georgester44: so many ppl have gotten hacked
{DST}{SK}Fnd.Georgester44: and there comps
{DST}{SK}Fnd.Georgester44: were compacs
I like how your cute japanese pedophilia and claims to be a grown-up did it.
that avatar is cute though... but it says you're 14 max.
dunno i've upgraded parts over the year i had it
[editline]02:18AM[/editline]
whatever the max is
[editline]02:21AM[/editline]
i'll go run a benchmark
Max AA, like 8x? Seriously, maybe I can get 40 FPS at that res on my 5870 without AA but with AA? No

AA does jack shit to my FPS.
Kills my FPS.
[editline]11:11AM[/editline]
Also I think my 5870 is underperforming or is bottlenecked by the CPU
A friend told me you don't need ram to run games if they are CPU orientated like the PS3 with its ten cores.
The PS3 has 8 cores according to google, one of which is a backup

I thought it had 7 cores, Also your friend is an idiot. The only use that devs have put to that (other than peoples using linux or Folding at home) is Is cinematics and AI, Which the AI's are usually only dedicated to one core and physics the rest is really wasted. The ps3 has so much potential (for calculations) But is wasted sadly.

Unless the devs chose to use them :downs: you're talking in absolutes where none are.

7 in use.
8 SPU's in total, 7 are enabled, 1 is a backup in case one of the others fuck up.
6 are used in-game, as one is reserved for the OS.
I wouldn't call them cores, but I'm no expert at this.

iirc one core, the rest are SPUs and a hypervisor
Drives me mad when people go around saying the telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl thing is an "easter egg"/"hidden feature"/"dev secret" in Windows/OS X. It's fucking telnet. ><

That doesn't make it any less awesome.
Me and a friend put it up on fullscreen and had Spotify running in the background with the Episode IV soundtrack. Shame it's only half the movie, really.
It's incredibly awesome, just the people who run around going saying Apple put it in OS X/Microsoft put it in XP as an Easter Egg are not.
i made a build on newegg what do you guys think

i thinik its gonna be awesome!!!!!!!
but i think 200w might be too much, that's a lot of power and I dont want it to explode or something!
Your attempt at being funny failed.
I'm pretty sure the correct term is cells, not cores

I have 5870 and I never once dropped below 60 fps in Crysis with full AA and everything.
Really? :saddowns:
Can it be the CPU? It's a Q6600 at stock. I could overclock it a bit :v:
my gtx 285 gets around 50 fps in mesa with aa at 4x.
aa does rape my fps tho.
I don't give a shit about AA beyond 2x but I can't have my anisotropic filtering less than 4x :saddowns:
I always have antistropic at 16x. Makes textures so much better.
No AA is terrible to me, but I don't care for AA beyond 2x.
[editline]07:14PM[/editline]
Yeah and I can't stand anisotropic at lower than 16x
On GMod at least I can see the difference between 2x AA and 4x. Beyond that though, hardly anything.
Filtering I have on max because it makes such a big difference
My fan is broken so it overheats very fast
