I didn't have too much trouble with the PC version when me and some friends first started. All we needed to do was open ports and connect through IP.

before any patches it was pretty much singleplayer or fuck off, and now they've managed to get it running pretty well but you need to buy a DLC pack before you get that patch

last year in engineering a kid kept trying to tell everyone he was the master of computers, but he didn't know his shit and everyone else did. he'd tell us shit like "I took out all the ram from my school computer, 20 gigs of it, and now I use it in my home computer"
after two days he couldn't figure out how to animate shit in autoCAD, he was almost crying when someone finally went over and took all of two seconds to get it working
