My art teacher said I can just take the iMac in her class. Could use it as an IRC machine
Which kind of iMac? The old CRT ones or the new LCD ones?
I have a good example of stupidity, not sure if it really counts as illiteracy though. Back when I built my computer I apparently put an extra sound card in my case and it completely covered the fan on my graphics card. It took me six freaking months to figure out why my graphics card was running so hot... I gained a bit of respect for XFX cards though, they recommend not letting the card get above 105 celsius and it never once went above 104. I also have one more example which was more did not do the research rather than illitereacy. This computer is my first build, when I built it I had a PCI nVidia 8400GS and I later upgraded to a 9800GT. My PSU was 450W(I think, it might have been 350W) but it was the older 20 pin one and my motherboard has slots for the 20+4, my 9800 takes a 6 pin connector too. (I only had a 4 pin.) I somehow managed to get my computer working this way but since everything wasn't getting all the power it needed, it kept corrupting my OS. Then I found the sound card blocking my graphics card fan and had to remove the graphics card to get the sound card out and my computer wouldn't boot. It was around this time I realized how stupid I was and replaced my PSU with a 400W with the correct pins. Haven't had issues with my OS corrupting since then and my graphics card hasn't gotten so hot since then.
Ahahahahahaha, Doesn't work like that. [editline]10:06AM[/editline]
here http://quadcities.craigslist.org/sys/1907434010.html
Holy fuck, what a mod! 2-867 Processors! Do want!
Ahahahahahaha, Doesn't work like that.
Well if that's not what was corrupting my OS then I don't know what was since it's stopped happening since I switched PSUs. Any ideas?
Which kind of iMac? The old CRT ones or the new LCD ones?
G3, graphite. If it was an LCD one I'd take it in an instant. Also, it's funny how intel bill HyperThreading like it's some new invention, when it was on most late P4 processors.
Well if that's not what was corrupting my OS then I don't know what was since it's stopped happening since I switched PSUs. Any ideas?
a virus :downs:

My friend making the rocket laptop is sending me some more sketches tonight. He said he made them neater. I hope they can live up to his first one.
A friend made me listen to the TURBO SUPER BASS function thing on his skullcandy headphones. I told him it sounded fucking terrible. Muddy awful everything. He liked it because it was loud.
a virus :downs:
I didn't have internet for the majority of the time this was happening.
corrupting your os lol
Do you have a better explanation of what was happening then?
http://quadcities.craigslist.org/sys/1895949358.html Holy shit! I could run solitaire at max settings with this awesome rig!
Do you have a better explanation of what was happening then?
PSU failure. You never really said what happened to your computer, just some nonsense about the OS..."corrupting." Which I'm going to assume was you getting the "NTLDR is corrupt. The system cannot boot." error. Various power supply issues can fuck up your hard drives.
I'm still running the same hard drives and have no issues. The issue I had was that the OS performance would degrade quite fast and things would crash almost constantly. The installation would last about a month before it would get to the point where it would BSOD nearly every time Windows tried to boot up and then I'd have to reinstall. This was on both Vista and XP so I'm certain it wasn't just the disks. (And I was using Vista after getting my new PSU until I got 7 and hadn't notice any similar issues.)

I love how it comes preloaded with windows 7 yet he doesn't want to give the serial when it could easily be stripped.
Do you think we should branch funny craigslist hardware postings into a separate thread?
Do you think we should branch funny craigslist hardware postings into a separate thread?
all hardware postings on craigslist are computer illiterate, no point
also, a "the best of craigslist" discussion in general would be fun.
