I realised that Crysis runs very well at certain areas, but stutters like hell, for example in a village or something

I know this is not even on FP, but it's full of computer illiterate people. Everywhere.
Worth a laugh or some rage.

oh look its the mw2 community.
:coupons:
I was in Boston for the weekend and the family and I were at a restaurant. My mom was ordering some kind of drink, she said to my father that she didn't know what was in it. My dad said maybe if we had an internet we could find out. My mom proceeded to say, yea why isn't there any internets around here. I asked her what an internet was, being sarcastic of course, and she pointed at the computer behind the podium of the waitress. I continued to laugh so hard that I was coughing blood.
This kid in my grade got a nice pair of sennheiser headphones (I'm guessing around $60+)
He's a snowboarder fag who buys stuff so he can be noticed. So i bought like a $15 pair of skullcandys on amazon and traded them to him. He acted as though i got ripped off
That's nothing, I traded a pair of $20 JVC Marshmallows for a Nintendo DS, he wanted the headphones because they fit his 1st gen iPhone.
"You need to buy a flux capacitor. They usually sell them at overclockers.net. That's your only bet. They're pretty expensive too, you'll have to stick with gaming on the 360."

You can probably find a good fake.. It should look something like this:
Alt and Enter doesn't work anymore? What about going into properties? There is a way to full screen it.
Not anymore, except changing screen buffer and window size, and then you still get it in a window.
which is actually quite surprising. It was made to be a heavily graphic intensive game, what it's known for mostly for it's high quality in this area. Heh, You would expect that these technologies would be favored, In such a manner that it would be more well optimized for this platform.
It was made in an age where anything above 1280x1024 was still myth, DX10 was barely out, 2GB ram was highest end and it advertised the 8xxx series... this game stood no chance in hell of utilizing any kind of the resources that came AFTER release. We made a huge shift towards SLI, Dual-core and proper DX10 right after release. this game never was optimized properly for this and no amount of patches could save an engine that was made with future development in Single cores, single GPU cards and so on. the games technology was shot a mile wide of what would turn out to be the later visible target and even patching it did little to help it recover.
Running this game in 1080p with SLI or dual GPU cards and a multicore rig will yield something... but it's just not cutting it. The issues of making a game for the future... you can't see the future.

Wasn't there even 1920x1200 in 2007?

I laughed way too hard at that.
I think I just died a little on the inside.
Wasn't there even 1920x1200 in 2007?
it wasn't close to mainstream or in their minds at all under development. otherwise, we'd have better results with that engine today.

what the fuck are you talking about? 1920x1200 was really popular and so was 1680x1050 in 2007 and 1680x1050 was practically standard, and now 1080p is. Crysis utilizes SLI and CF fine and it will use as much RAM as you can throw at it as well as cores.

It is an auto censor. You have to 18 (or something) to enter the forum, but oh no there is no way you can handle seeing swear words.

That forum is filled with a bunch of 12 year old fantards, I don't even see why people bother explaining on how Steam have nothing to do with the dumb points they are ranting about.

I have to agree with you there. There are so many idiots on that forum that don't have the faintest idea of what they are saying. It's mostly made up of people begging for betas just because they are desperate to play the game for free and before November. I remember seeing this thread a few days ago which is a fine representation of the community - http://www.callofduty.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=263032&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=VACS&sid=6fd3ba068750e7a05f7d5045fc5a22de. Many genius quotes can be found in that thread such as:
"and its BS ABOUT BUTTONS. the ps3 has (about) 135 buttons on they keybored. interfacing that with the game would give you many a buttons to choose from."
"but then again a ps3 is a laptop with difrent firmware!"
"THE SAME SYSTEM can be implimented on ps3. the ps3 system uses VACS this i know"

I know. People give long, comprehensive explanations of how steam works and what it is, and why it is not related to mw2's problems, but 12 years olds still reply "steam blows" :eng99:

And that they would rather use xfire. I mean, please, xfire? It's a huge piece of shit, the interface looks like it's been designed by one of those 12 year olds and it's only good feature is the fact that you can livestream your gameplay.
The UNO just sucked period anyway.
Hell these days I'm hating everything by M-Audio. The monitors are junk, the MIDI interfaces are crap, the plain MIDI keyboards are sticky and unplayable, and the low-end audio interfaces are worse pieces of shit than my Firebox. And not all cheap audio interfaces are inherently bad, look at the Apogee or Focusrite stuff.
Thought the Axioms actually seem decent (though fuck that if I'm getting another keyboard it's a Yamaha and that's final), and I might buy a ProFire 610 interface if I decide I'm not in the mood to pay TCE or MOTU markups.
What was the problem in Linux, anyway? On XP it was a bunch of hoopla with MS's generic MIDI interface drivers and the first two releases of the actual UNO driver not being compatible with multiple DAWs.
M-Audio products are pretty hit-and-miss on Linux in general. It worked occasionally but I log out and log back in again and suddenly it doesn't want to work at all.
or at least they were when I tried it, I was still using kernel 2.4 at the time, so shit was years ago.

I'm pretty sure that was added in the 2009 update.

up until Windows ME, all but a few versions of Windows were just DOS overlays.
