Hah, that old thing has been changed:
"Windows is now a 64 bit tweak of a 32 bit extension to a 16 bit user interface for an 8 bit operating system based on a 4 bit architecture from a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition."
1024 bit mod of 512 bit addition to 256 bit patch for a 128 bit mistake on top of a 64 bit tweak of etc.

I don't like that Microsoft's being restricted as far as what gets packaged together, personally
it's not like they can have an effective semi-permanent monopoly on software shit when there are always people that will buy $5000 apple laptops to surf facebook and take pictures of themselves, and there will always be people that like to dominate their OS like it's a bitch in bondage (looking at you linux users, keep on truckin' :toot:), doesn't make sense to me that Microsoft isn't allowed to add MSE to W7 without getting sued back and forth
[editline]06:53PM[/editline]
just realized that might be the most tremendous run-on sentence I've ever used
wait, they cant package it? why not!
My friend is convinced that Dell gets a printout of what he does on the internet.

explain why it isn't possible
explain why it isn't possible
Because Dell is a green company and getting printouts would waste paper.
wait, they cant package it? why not!
Because people get butthurt over a company doing what they want with the software they created and sell.

I like this analogy and I will use it in the future.
God damnit. @ above.

I still can't believe people still make that mistake.
what is his processor clocked at? if his logic was correct, my dual core would be running 7.6 ghz, a whopping 600 MHz over what theoretically should be twice what I've got.

mr killa has been known to be a young and not very literate with anything, especially social skills.
Goddamn I hate mr killa, he makes me raaggee.

Because Dell isn't an ISP?
Because Dell isn't an ISP?
But they can install rootkits on the system's OS before it was shipped to resellers
Why would they bother? Why do they care that 87% of 8 - 12 yr old males with Dell laptops look at porn?
It's a possibility, since you were questioning it

people would notice the network traffic and would have found out by now.
Not if you are a computer illiterate

I had a problem with this in the past. I was in a fun BF2 clan, sort of still am. But I can't get in contact with anyone from it anymore.
Anyways, the main leader guy. He's like 50, 100% pure new york, Rather successful, He owned a Falcon Northwest as the time. Dual 8800GTX's I think. Anyways, He had a QX6800 I think.
We were on Teamspeak at the time, he was talking about having a 12ghz Quad core in his computer. I kind of laughed and said, "Heh, Jon, that's not quite how you rate multi-core processors. It's parallel, so you don't just add it up."
Him: "The fuck are you talking about! You know shit about computers, go fuck yourself."
Me: "Haha, No, Jon, when you're done with BF2, do a google search for that and just spend a few minutes reading some stuff on it. Sure assuming all the cores could be used, you'd have 12ghz of theoretical power. But it just doesn't work that way. It's still 3ghz."
Him: "Say one more word and you're permanently banned from the server and from our clan."
ME: "Fuck you, Jon." Then, most of the guys in the channel laughed and we got back to losing on Karkand.
He was a really great guy though. He bought me Special Forces and BF2142 and mailed them to me. I added him on FB, but he never responds.
what the fuck are you talking about? 1920x1200 was really popular and so was 1680x1050 in 2007 and 1680x1050 was practically standard, and now 1080p is. Crysis utilizes SLI and CF fine and it will use as much RAM as you can throw at it as well as cores.

you're insane
I'm not insane, i was merely slightly wrong. I stand by my claim. Crysis is horribly optimized and i blame it on Cryteks attempt at seeing the future and walking in the wrong direction.
Oh, i've been searching for 8800 GTX benchmarks to show off if it's capable of proper performance on those resolutions. still too early to conclude anything. Those resolutions WEREN'T mainstream back then. we're talking back when we were still on the edge about the whole HD "age" and it was about the same time that us gamers, manufacturers... whoever decided to go for higher standard resolutions.
No way in hell 1080p is standard today. 1680 barely is.
You guys keep forgetting that old CRT monitors have always been able to climb that high on the resolution ladder. They have no upper limit (of course they do, it's just that the computers haven't been powerful enough. Now that they finally are, we've scrapped the CRTs... )

I had a pretty cheap 1680x1050 monitor back about 3-4 years ago.
They weren't hard to get, wasn't expensive.

Complete and utter bullshit, Just because you don't have a 1920x1080 or 1680x1050 monitor doesn't mean it's not a standard.

Yes it's true... that was utter bullshit. I sit with a 1680 and a friend has the 1920. I'm thinking shit. But i still think people are forgetting where we were in relation to higher resolutions for mainstream use back in 06/07.

the whole idea behind my statement was if GPU's and games were even able to handle that properly. think about it. No development running from 04/05 would even have considered this. I'm still reading up on this, but the GPU series of that time don't even look like they were up to running the "back then-Gen" at those resolutions that are standard today.
there's a lot of Half-Life 2: EP.2 in 1600x1200 and 1920x1080 running at insane FPS. but Crysis always seems to be kept from the high resolutions and when they're there, it just dips too far. It does make me want to play Warhead though...

Nice work contradicting yourself there.

Ah, sorry, misinterpreted.
Anyway, I'm searching my Facebook news feed for illiteracy - there's usually tons.
Nice work contradicting yourself there.
you mean "nice work admitting a mistake and correcting it". way to see the worst in everything.
Page king and no content. I'l dig something up.

I remember my friend getting a new computer, with a big monitor back then. I discovered it was 1920x1200 later. No, my friend wasn't really rich or anything.
