I stared at that for like 2 minutes being like wait what?
God damn I need some sleep. Work has been way too... workish.

Everyone definitely needed to know that information.

Took me a while to get it. Gigabits, not GigaBytes!

Double fail.
It was correct to begin with, you know.
real-world experience + references > certifications
Only when you are website designer or some kind of movie maker.
He thinks a certificate is the only way you can be literate in computers.
No actually, but most of you here think that coding in html and building computer makes you computer god. (When no one will employ you for that)
Stop correcting what wasn't wrong in the first place.
Ryan: Why isn't the game working? All I see is a picture of it.
P90 the Pyro: How did you get the game?
Ryan: I saw a screenshot and downloaded it and launched it. But all I see is a picture. Isn't it supposed to be the game?
P90 the Pyro: Oh god.

I have some shocking news, now, that, I-I-I've edited this, this, this post, with this grueling chatlog, trust me, I wanted to, TO KILL MYSELF, after seeing this.
Grueling, so fucking grueling I can't handle it anymore, all of sudden, something bad is gonna' happen, something, something bi--- :psyboom:
Seriously, how stupid can one be?
That is the stupidest computer-related thing I have ever heard.
Awesome.
Seriously, how stupid can one be?
Very.
:psyboom:
I think I lost IQ points just imagining how bad that had to be.
2Gb = 256MB
I was all "wut." for a second.
Then I saw it.
Nice one.
Last year I had a "friend", and I use this term very loosely (the only reason he wanted to be my friend was so that I'd help him pass biology), that I met during my first semester of college. During the first part of the semester, he told me that his laptop wasn't working because some error would always pop up when he turned it on. It had previously messed up and had to be taken in to be repaired.
He showed me the screen and it was the screen that prompts for the OS disk to be inserted. He was convinced that the repair people had removed the harddrive or had done something. I told him that he needed to get the OS disk and reinstall the OS. He commented that he didn't have such a disk. So, I told him to talk to the repair shop because they should be able to take care of that for him. About a week later, he told me the computer was fixed.
Later in the semester, he told me that his computer was messing up again, and was blaming it on the brand of computer (toshiba satellite). So, I offered to take a look and see if I could fix it. It turns out that the idiot wasn't running any form of AV, and was downloading random BS off the internet. What was causing him issues was he had downloaded some program that presents itself as an AV. I'm sure everyone has seen the popups that say "Your computer as x viruses! Download (program) now to get rid of them!".
He downloaded it, of course. I downloaded AVG, malwarebytes, and a couple other anti spyware/adware programs. Removed several other things, but couldn't get rid of the program. The best I was able to do was show him how to shut down the program via the task manager since it was towards the end of the year and finals. I told him that I'd continue researching ways to get rid of the program, but that it was a possibility that he'd have to take the laptop back to the shop.
By the beginning of the next semester, his computer was back in the shop due to it crashing. Of course, when I asked what had happened, he got all flustered and couldn't tell me.
I can't be the only one wanting to rage at the other guy, surely.

My post? If so..That's just the tip of the iceberg with that guy. He was a walking facepalm, to say the least. Although, many lulzy stories about him.
Some dick at school informed me casually that he was a 2000GB CPU. When i asked him if he meant MHz, he told me no, I'm sure.
I'm not sure if he was trolling. I replied with "Good Luck with that"
After all, he is a dick
Not really computer illiteracy but here...
My uncle used a brand new laptop for a few hours. When I came on, Internet explorer was full of toolbars and shitty addons. WHY? Why the fuck would you even choose to install these. Each one had some lame search engine and some even played music. I removed every single one and installed chrome.
A little bit of content;
Some days ago I was talking to my friend about a case mod I'm planning (It's actually an all-in-one built in a suitcase, so "mod" may not be the best word), and he leads the discussion onto that he and some of his internet friends are planning to make a game. This is where the illeteracy is coming; He said "It will fill about 10Mb as most games do", I interrupted: "Ehrr.. Most games fill more..", and he replies "Well, maybe it's about a 100Gb, but it's gonna be good". I proceeded to gaze at him in a kind of disappointed manor. The thing is he's really trying hard to be a "leet Hax0r", but it doesn't really work out for him. He's really a nice bro, though.
And I may be doing a build log with that mod, it's gonna be "Fallout-ish", as it's an old '50-style suitcase. If I'm doing it it's going to start mid-late september. Specs won't be fantastic, but that isn't the point of the build.

As you said yourself, needs (List) back
so I downloaded a lan messenger, I use it at school with my friends, as to be expected we spam each other with shit and of course my idiot friend (the one with the complete bs satellite story) sends me "NORTON 360 ROCKS" copy pasted a billion times, worst part was, he was fucking serious.
