There's nothing wrong with Macs, people slag anything Apple off as a crap way to define themselves.
have fun paying a thousand bucks extra for photo booth [editline]07:51AM[/editline] if you really really have money to waste and can get past the limitations that apple puts in to ensure nobody fucks up the computer, the hardware generally isnt terrible and osx is decent. +1 for the nice built in screens.
This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. If someone owns a BMW and someone else owns a Mercedes, perhaps the odd joke is made. On the internet if someone owns a Mac this sort of shit starts. I honestly don't see how the computer someone else uses effects your life so much.

Nice picture, I see you had foresight.
have fun paying a thousand bucks extra for photo booth
I don't even use photo booth. Because I use my mac for my design work.

[editline]07:51AM[/editline] if you really really have money to waste and can get past the limitations that apple puts in to ensure nobody fucks up the computer, the hardware generally isnt terrible and osx is decent. +1 for the nice built in screens.
Well, UNIX, fuck yeah? And their isn't much to stop me fucking the entire system up. But what you just said is
Macs sucks cocks over prices and shitty but the hardware is good, and it won't fuck up easily and the screens are great
I don't understand the argument "If you are a drawer/artist, buy a Mac" from some people I know [editline]02:49PM[/editline] Someone could explain this to me?
I don't understand the argument "If you are a drawer/artist, buy a Mac" from some people I know [editline]02:49PM[/editline] Someone could explain this to me?
People say photoshop for OS X is better, that iMovie and other apps are better than the video editing software you can get for Windows, and such.
I don't think so, but it may be referring to Final Cut Pro.. And the fact that people likes the design. Ninja'd. iMovie isn't shit better than either WMM or WLMM.
So, nothing different, in fact?
All boils down to personal preference, but OS X generally has better productivity apps.
Macs are actually very, very nice. Expensive, but some consider it worth it for the extra stuff you get. Fast boot, nice look (flame me), less malware, all round nice finishes like the magnetic power cords (those are awesome). Most of you wouldn't consider these things worth the massive price, I don't blame you, but they're all still nice.
All boils down to personal preference, but OS X generally has better productivity apps.
Ahh, come on, cut the crap. [sp]What you just said is also preference[/sp]
Yeah, that's like saying "It's all down to personal preference, but PC sucks!"
But what you just said is
no, what i just said is what i just said, what, should i quote it for you as to point out the areas where you replaced my words with your words in an idiotic fashion?
All boils down to personal preference, but OS X generally has better productivity apps.
The choice of applications is a bullshit reason in a argument like this really. Windows has a much wider choice of applications, so somewhere in the shitheap there will be something that excels the application offered by Mac OSX. And vice versa. It is just preference, I can't stand OSX myself, it's too restricted for my liking, and it just looks like something I would rather not use. The entire design of the OS revolves around "lets make this look nice and smooth, then make it work", not what a OS should be based around "Lets make this work first, then make it look nice". Functionality over fashion.
This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. If someone owns a BMW and someone else owns a Mercedes, perhaps the odd joke is made. I honestly don't see how the computer someone else uses effects your life so much.
or maybe i was responding to your dumb comment, not starting a shitstorm about macs. maybe you should stop caring. also: assuming it affects peoples lives, because that sort of assumption makes me think, that you think, that everyone who's opinion is it that macs are not worth the price paid, really cares past their opinion. pompous bullshit.
Macs are very sexy. They have a beautiful aluminum frame, plus they are all-around fast, productive and whatnot. Pretty much what all the above posters said.
I love those magnetic power cords. And they're sturdy as hell. As for the rest of the systems, utter shit.
I sense 3 pages of Mac v pc posts coming up
I love those magnetic power cords. And they're sturdy as hell. As for the rest of the systems, utter shit.
There we have it. We just steal..err.. I mean become inspired by that and add magnetic cords to PC and all flaming will go away
Okay everyone. Drop the argument before it turns into a 4 page flame war.
To bad that will never happend [editline]05:02PM[/editline] Mah automerge
Ugh, I leave this thread for about a week. Then I come back, and absolutely no computer illiterate stories are being told, just another PC vs. Mac flamefest. Which was the original reason why I left.
Wasn't a flamefest, it was a discussion. It comes down to preference, the end
I think alienwares are way worse than macs. Because at least with macs, you get OSX. With alien ware all it is, is an expensive prebuilt. inb4 hackintosh
I think they serve different uses. If you have the money, get which one is better for your use. If you're a gamer, get an alienware thing, if you are a normal person, get a mac or something from Dell or HP or something else. Comes down to needs more than preference, really.
But there is no reason to get an alienware. You cannot build a mac. You can build an alien ware
If you have lots of money and don't want to worry about building one yourself, why not get an Alienware?
But there is no reason to get an alienware. You cannot build a mac. You can build an alien ware
BOTH websites have "Build it yourself" with alienware you can at least change more parts, but with the Mac Pro, all you can change is RAM, Hard drive, and select the CPU. content: when you see it... Who throws their money around if they know they can save it by building?
"9 out of 10 girls will take their clothes off" lol.
Although they look good, I've had bad experiences all around with HP.
I agree. My HP printer/scanner combo constantly has issues, and the touchpad in my HP Mini constantly disconnects itself. [editline]03:39PM[/editline]
If you have lots of money and don't want to worry about building one yourself, why not get an Alienware?
because there are better prebuilt brands. see: sager ibuypower/cyberpowerpc asus puget systems etc.
because there are better prebuilt brands. see: sager ibuypower/cyberpowerpc asus puget systems etc.
Not only better, but cheaper, so for the money you save you can get even better.
