Not blaming her, just wanted to mention it. She's an awesome woman <3, even if she did slag my mother off. </3.
Then be awesome too and explain how installation disks work. Like I said, she's probably about 70, which makes her 60 when xp came out.
There was a time when I was little and my grandparents knew more about computers than I did. Hell, I think they were pirates. :v:
My granny had an illegal copy of windows. I don't think she cared to much though. Someone else who I don't know set it up for her. She was scared to update security though, but she just played solitaire and looked up family history. Now
Media Access Control. I think it came about in the late '70s - early '80s, so before Macintosh computers.
Or migration authorisation code :eng101: /completely irrelevant to that
Makes me cringe when Mac is wrote MAC, or iPod wrote as Ipod.
Makes me cringe when Mac is wrote MAC, or iPod wrote as Ipod.
This. I have no illiterate stories because i live by so many illiterates that dont try to be smart :saddowns: [editline]02:26PM[/editline] Also im switching isp's to BT :saddowns:, if anyone has unlimited could you tell me what is it like? im getting unlimited [editline]02:27PM[/editline] -double post my bad-
In school some kid was having trouble with his router, and the teacher asked "Did you check the MACs?" and the kid answered "What no I don't use my Airbook in school" I have no idea what task he was doing, but I felt like :geno:
wat
Makes me cringe when Mac is wrote MAC, or iPod wrote as Ipod.
Isn't it "Written"? Not trying to be a grammar-nazi, I'm just curious if you're right, and I've thought that word wrong for all these years... :tinfoil:
I have no idea. Apologies for posting real content :frown:
no offense but it sounds like your lying
"MY lying?" There, I said it. Back on topic, ever met ignorant/paranoid people that, whenever the computer has a tiny little problem they immediately jump yelling "OMG ITS A VIRUS I MIGHT HAVE TO THROW AWAY THIS COMPUTER AND GET ANOTHER ONE" A friend of mine actually got a nice PC (it was a prebuilt, but hey, worth it) from an idiot of this kind. The retard bought another computer and sold the other one for about 200 bucks. The reason of this massive, overreacted panic attack? Word 2003's spell-checker was acting retarded. :downs:
I've seen it all before. It's lack of common sense/stupidity. When someone's TV/car/whatever acts funny they try to get it fixed or find out what the problem is. Soon as it's a computer they all "ah virus have to get shot of it".
Also im switching isp's to BT :saddowns:, if anyone has unlimited could you tell me what is it like? im getting unlimited
Meh, it's alright. I've not had any problems with it so far, but beware the sneaky bastard fair usage policy.
Skull candy fucking blows. The Koss porta pro is the best pair of headphones I had so far, it has survived 6 months of use. One of the speakers is broken now. :frown: Lucky thing they are cheap.
Thoes things are the most useless things I've ever worn. Broke twice, had to fix twice, then gave up when it broke again. Now I'm using Sony, and by god is it good.

Unless you like it I'd swap out the home hub for something decent though.
Also im switching isp's to BT :saddowns:, if anyone has unlimited could you tell me what is it like? im getting unlimited [editline]02:27PM[/editline] -double post my bad-
I've got BT unlimited, the download is actually really close to what they advertise most of the time ( about 6- 8 Mb/s whenever I check ) but the upload is really slow; I get around 0.3 Mb/s on that. But it varies greatly by location, so it may be better or worse for you.
I just got a bunch of Trojans downloading shady No-CD cracks. Good thing this laptop is old as shit and near worthless. Still, can't re-format, so I have to wait for this deep scan in Safe Mode to finish. OMG I ned nu compootrr it haz viruz!!!11one Mayby shud by Mac?
UNI thought my sisters laptop was going to make mega jihad explosions why? "because ist nort a dell and asus are unreliable and low quality :downs:" :irony:

(before reading this story please note I have a pc i have built/upgraded) So I go on over to my friends house and the phone rings and then he goes downstairs to talk, I then here "yes, yessssssss!" reallly fucking loud. I run down and he is like. Him "it was puralator, my alien ware is coming!!" Me "how much did it cost?" Him "2.7 grand :downs:, it's gonna crush your pc" I then make a -_- face he then goes :smug: "you can't deny it's power!" I let him have his fun because i am not one to be a prick. ( rate heart)
I was using Firefox in my school library and someone came over and called me retarded for not using Google. :downs: (this was well before Chrome)
Well, Alienware comps are rather powerful. Not enough for their cost, though.

I've only had mine a few month and they're falling apart. But they are cheap, got mine for £120

Me. [editline]07:35PM[/editline] Well they were better pre-2009, but you wouldn't know m'boy.
What is it with people who are computer illiterate and know it so they ask you for advice on something then decide that you were lying about it? In the last two weeks I've had one of my mom's friends come to me asking about antivirus programs because she fell for one of those fake ones that put more viruses on your computer (and she paid $50 for it.) Then my grandmother was having an issue with Facebook which turned out to be a server being down for maintenance and she wouldn't believe me about it...
